  1. I am playing this as a syrian light inf force attacking a stryker group. I have 4 platoons of inf and about 6 mg sections. the stryker 40mm grenade lauchers are pulverizing me. I am about to drop some 82mm mortars on a stryker - we will see how that works. Can only the US side split squads? My RPG guys keep getting plastered. Also, please tell me there is a way to get rid of the trees
  2. You can upload them at www.theblitz.org Lots and lots of CMx1 scenarios are loaded there. Why not start loading CMSF scenarios too. You could be the first.
  3. I did look (at least a little) in the manual, but I didnt find it. Anybody care to enlighten me?
  4. those automatic grenade launchers are something else. Wow! Lots of fun to watch for the first time!
  5. pentium IV 2.4 ghz, 768MB ram, ATI Radeon 64MB video card. I have the visuals turned way down, but it will play. So I am happy.
  6. is there an option for turning off the ambiant sound (wind, background explosions, etc) like in CMx1 games?
  7. Either I am missing them and they are there, or - as of right now - I miss them. - Clicking on a unit and hitting enter and being able to see a bunch of stats about that unit (Is this somewhere and I dont know how to do it)? - Toggles for showing trees (do I not know how to do it?) - QB purchase options (please reconsider putting this back in. It may not be realistic, but it is so much fun) - All my CMx1 hotkeys have changed. It is taking me forever to do everything. (I know I will learn it, but right now I am so slow) Anyway, I am just so happy that the game works with my old, slow video card that I cant complain about anything.
  8. i have a 64MG ATI radeon and I am running decent enough on the low and medium levels. First impressions: I tried to play the campaign without reading any of the manual, but I am giving up. I guess I will read the manual and the game a bit. I do like the delayed sound though. I heard a big bang, and was looking rewinding looking all around for it (like it did in CMx1 games). then I remembered delayed sound. Pretty cool.
  9. look for the license code in the middle of the email by the download link. dont use the order number
  10. It is because you are a horrible forum dictator!
  11. I have a Pent IV 2.39 gHz with 768 MB Ram and an old ATI Radeon 64MB video card. I put the game on the lowest settings and it loaded and has decent speed on the lowest settings. It plays at least as good as my CMx1 titles on my computer with just an internal video card. In case anybody was wondering. btw, forget the manual or the training scenario. Straight to the campaign. If any other noob wants to start a pbem, let me know [ July 27, 2007, 10:05 AM: Message edited by: David Chapuis ]
  12. 1:1 spotting? I remember reading CMSF was not doing that. Did that change? </font>

  14. For nbr 1 the answer is 2. No Co-play in this release.
  15. well I was thinking price was based on the power/strength/availability of the unit. So artillery being more available would - IMO - drive the price up. But this is probably all moot anyway based on what rune said above
  16. My guess is that US artillery would be more "expensive" since - well I assume - it is more deadly and more accurate than the WWII versions.
  17. He doesnt care. That is the Dorosh-method of having an exciting Saturday night.
  18. puppyface, do you just keep that on your clipboard ready to paste?
  19. Does CMSF model this? (if it's true) </font>
  20. Personally, I think the best thing about the new engine will be the vastly improved gameplay. Personally, after I got CMBB I never went back to CMBO. I tried one more BO game, but the gameplay was just lacking in CMBO compared to CMBB. I feel that the gameplay difference between CMx2 games and CMBB/CMAK will be such that I just wont be able to play BB/AK anymore.
  21. It is unfortunate this couldnt have been released before CMSF as I think the demand for it will go down greatly. I still plan on buying it just to support Hunter for at least trying, but I doubt sales will be as strong.
  22. This sounds like the best thing in the game I have heard of. A way to limit the all-seeing-eye problem. I personally call it friendly unit FOW. I had thought that perhaps you should be able to issue commands to them, but you just didnt know if the unit would receive them or even if they were alive for that matter. I assume that they keep fighting under the control of the TacAI - they are just not under user control anymore.
  23. Well I really thought you were a shoo-in after photo-shopping the Daytona Beach Bikini Team in with your sten guns and piats. But reptilian porn is the fastest growing fetish in Canada - so what can I say. And kindergarten isnt too old to start teaching anatomy. By the age of two kids know elbow, eye, mouth, tummy, etc.
  24. Not even close. Dorosh only wrote a list, not an essay that mentions every object in that list in a meaningful way. That'll be his homework. </font>
