I know this post has to be in the support forum but as nobody will read it therefore i put it here. Since yesterday i have a serious problem to play TCIP games as i get always I/O errors. The facts I can connect with my opponent, everybody can do his move,both can also chat but as soon as one is sending his turn i get I/O error and the other one the message connection terminated. The odd thing is when i host and try to sent the turn every other options but to finish game are greyed out as usual but.."I CAN STILL CHAT WITH MY OPPONENT". So fact is i dont have a problem establishing connection but to send or receive the data file. What did i change since the last time it worked fine? - i made a new setup of my computer - i loaded the same programms on my computer which i had before - i uploaded upgrades for my WINDOWS 98 - i use now 2004 version of Norton Systemworks (instead of 2002version) (This is a Symatec Product which includes Firewall, Internetproduction and other usefull items) Solutions i tried so far - i reinstalled SC with 1.07g patch - i forwarded port 6530 (Terif read this in another tread) - i disabled the firewall - i tried also with another player - i checked my internet connection which is ok (i can visit all sites and my mailprogramm is working as well) But always the same Does anybody encountered this problem before?? What can i do else????

What´s up? No dispute today? No smack ...everything quiet i cant believe it. I wanna have some action, some affront, some grumble here. Another thing...what is the range for a port to see units? Is it the same like for cities 2hexes?

For this issue you have to talk with Dragonheart II not me.

Sure you can have your rematch, and you can use your AA+AF on attack mode..but be aware that i either use the same tactic or i roll with lvl 5 tanks over your AA cities....or you just simply accept a new born houserule...no placement of AF in cities and no attack with carriers out of ports.

Hm obviously i came to the wrong time to the wrong place ...the glorious time of SC-battles is over....i have to realize this ...we all have to realize this. Unfortunately i spent to much time in playing CMBB and HOI before this gave me a delay of 10 mth to enter the SC-Community..so i missed better times. I´m not that enthusiastic anymore..zapp..the reasons you stated are true... Maybe i will do a couple of games in the pbem league or in the Panzerliga....but this will be restriced as PBEM sucks. I will further lurk arround and post in the forum as i m really interested if this community is breaking. Jersey said no... i say yes...let´s ee. Game over

To stay another 3 months in this forum? :eek: One have to be masochistic to stay here for that long time. But maybe we all are. But honestly said i m member in a couple of forums but i never saw one like this one. This is really uniq. As a reward for suceeding the psycho-test one will get the membership for lifetime and another 1 year later you will get the iron cross making you a hardcoremember. With less than 10 acitve members it´s not worth to form a leage....for none. I would not bet for it but accept that if there is no league, no competition anymore, (because of a minor bug) more and more ppl will leave. Maybe in the past things calmed, but this time it seems to be over. But maybe as longtimevictim of this forum you know it better. We will see....

Jersey, I lost my hope for this forum. PPL will be scattered soon into all directions...the timeframe between this unacceptable situation and the outcome of SC2 will be to long. One can´t spent 1 year or more just with useless discussions like in the other tread. Fact is there is no league anymore, there is no respect anymore, there is no friendship anymore, there are no battles anymore, it seems to me the the only reason to stay in this forum for some ppl is just to insult other ppl as a result of plain frustration and burnout symptoms. The sad thing is that not everybody of the nice guys here has the possibility to play in another league and enjoy a friendly community like myself in the "Panzerliga". Jersey can you remeber "This is a hell of a Community, a hell of a forum"...the nice picture of Kurt? Some bad words were exchanged but turning things to the funny side everybody could laugh about this story. Rambo ........why you insult ppl for their opinion? Zapp´s and your opinion is the AA thing is a major bug....ok i respect your opinion. Others me included say it´s no major bug so please accept our opinion too without calling everybody low minded here. How much you invested in SC 25$ ...40 $ ? anyway thats nothing especially for you...one single stock trade and you can buy hundreds of games. The quesion is how much fun you had with this xx $ you invested...100 hours, 500, 1000 or even more? And now when zapp discovered this "major bug, minor bug or feature", or whatever we all are calling it you quit playing? You, one of the best players can´t handle this thing? You cant handle it on either sides? You can´t adopt your strategies? I can´t believe that. How many games you played so far being perfect? If there were still a league and some ppl would see this as "major bug" we would have had a new house rule not to place AF into cities. Simple way to solve problems istn´t it? But there is no league anymore...so who cares? Don´t forget i do not side with anyone, it´s my opinion and if you cant come along with the AA thing than stop playing, wait for SC2, stop insulting other ppl or whatever...but just stop it. This is my first post here...it seems to be a neverending tread. :eek: I noticed that many famous and well known ppl are here like Kurt my hell-mentor, Dragonslayer Curry, Terif the wise, Blashy the chithater, ....only to mention some.. I still dont like PBEM games altough i´m forced to play ones in the "Panzerliga" (German Site). When finishing my ongoing games and there is some spartime left i consider to join here.....if i m allowed Im not already in but i will be back. Due to lack of ppl playing, this is a wise decision as it´s not worth to spend your sparetime anymore...but i would not accept any other reason.

Well very interesting story I did not know about this bug. In one of my games against Zapp i tried something different and had 4 chits in AA, but i was unlucky and got only lvl 2 my air was dead before i would have had an advantage there. AA was not a crap before and not now...as German player you should avoid air and carrier training...and if you need your air somewhere else...you have to invest into AA. I invested in AA in the past and i will invest in AA in future....but now i know how to use it better. But like every gamble this has also a plus and a minus and a counter for sure..... i wanna have strong infantry i wanna have super-tanks i wanna have LR i wanna have Jet I wanna have AA i wanna have supersubs i wanna have strong ships and after all i want all of that cheap!! so i wanna have technology too. Conclusion.....i have only 10 chits as axis maybe only 5 as allied ....where i should invest?????????? Do you all understand my point??? Now come back and play and have fun.....this is a message to everybody....you fools!!! ...don´t be angry for my sarcastic words.....but use your mind. Over and out Dragonheart

Liam, Why you did not attack LC in 2nd round? I see very rarely ppl using their forces for a quick poland campagne. With a HQ rambo got a 99 % chance to conquer LC and that was more or less already the end of the game. Hmm he hold once france until mai 1941? I suceeded to get it in August 1940 but anyway...one year later lvl 15 tanks and lvl 15 fighters were on the move to Berlin :eek: At least you are the only one who has beaten him in the near past. Hopefully we can play soon, our problem will be the 8 hours time difference.... Cya Dragonheart

Sand Castle you need it too as you and ranger are the last ones looking for opponents in the opponent finder. The possiblity to adress your request for a game personally to the person you wanna play is a much better solution. You can also see who is online and who not. No endless waiting in the forum anymore as you can see if anybody is arround. Les it will not make sence if somebody is using another mean of communication.
