  1. I created Asmar Crossing. If there is any possibility of adding "Rokossovski" as the author to the repository posting, I would appreciate it.
  2. Small comment: I designed the scenario, so please list the author as "Rokossovski" rather than as "unknown." Thank you.
  3. I'm resurrecting this old thread since I would still like to see The Louch's suggestion implemented, perhaps as a feature in the upcoming British Forces Module.
  4. I think General Patton would want me to note that the pistol handles were ivory rather than pearl. And yes, I agree, the photos are excellent. Color shots really show the nature of the terrain in a way black & white cannot.
  5. Asmar Crossing was my scenario. I simply added mortars (I used U.S. 120mm mortars) to the Combatant's force. The way I did this was simply to change the scenario type as listed under "data" and "force v. force" from "red v. red" (which is the type it was generally) to "blue v. blue." Then, I could select "blue" forces for either side. I added the U.S. mortars to the combatant's side. Then I changed the "data" "force v. force" selection back to "red v. red," again allowing my to choose "red" forces for either side. With the U.S. mortars (or for that matter artillery or air assets), any of the Combatant HQ units can be used to call in indirect fire. There is no reason to consider those off-map mortars to be specifically American, since they are not actually seen. In the context of the Asmar Crossing scenario, they are assumed to belong to the insurgents.
  6. Okay, I figured it out. I have a different username in the "Account Mainenance" area than in the forums. So the problem was with my username rather than with the password. I used a different (and correct) username and found my license key. Problem solved. That said, I wish we didn't have to use a licensing system that creates so may problems with non-tech-savvy folks like me.
  7. I recently bought a new computer. I have loaded CMSF/Marines, but it requires a license key number from me before the program will run. I do not know the license key number. It is not on the disks, the documentation, the boxes, or in any of BFC's purchase confirmation e-mails. I eventually gathered from reading the "helpdesk" entries that the license key can be found in the "Account Maintenance" section under my Username. On my old computer (which no longer functions) I was logged into Battlefront.com automatically, but now I had forgotten my password. I asked BFC to send me a new password, so I could log in as myself and access my "Account Mainenance" to discovery my license key. BFC sent me a new password. The system did not recognize the new password, no matter how carefully I typed or cut and pasted it in. I asked for another new password. Still no luck with the new, new password. Tried again, and again, and again. Battlefront would not let me log in. It would let me "change" my password, but would not let me log in under the new password. Oddly, by following links from the "change password" screen I can access the forums (hence this message recognizes me as "Rokossovski") but no matter how hard I try, or how many ways I come at the problem (I've been at this for over three hours) I cannot access my "Account Mainenance" screen to discover my license key. Please help! If anyone at BFC is reading this, perhaps you could e-mail me the information. It is the same e-mail address you have for when I was sold CMSF and Marines in the first place, so you know I am a paying customer. Post-script: (unlicensing on the old computer is not an option since it is non-functional).
  8. What are you looking for in tactical maps? Are there particular types of terrain you are looking for? What are your size requirements?
  9. If these maps are anywhere as good as your 'Al Beluliyah' map, they're going to be great. The Al Beluliyah map you posted is one of the very best CMSF maps I've seen. I'm really looking forward to these maps -- thanks for making them available!
  10. Paper Tiger, The maps look really great. I loved the maps from the Hasrabit Campaign as well. Could I persuade you to put the maps up on CMMODs? (Not just your more recent stuff). Even if you don't have a stand-alone scenario to go with it? I like to toy around with the maps, but I can't do that when they are buried within a larger campaign. Please?
  11. Its too bad we can't make different textures for Airborne or Republican Guard troops. I prefer red v. red scenarios, and it can be jarring to have the units on both sides wearing identical uniforms.
  12. Is it possible to mod the uniforms of Syrian Forces so that Airborne or Republican Guard forces have different uniforms than regular mech infantry? Obviously one can mod their uniforms, but I want to be able to mod them so that are not only different, but also different from each other -- i.e., Airborne having uniform type A, Republican Guards wearing uniform type B, regulars with uniform type C, and Reserves with Uniform type D. Is it possible to do this? As far as I can tell, for the Syrians can have different looks for Reserve units and everyone else, and the Special forces look different, but I have to select one "look" for regular mech infantry, Guards, and Airborne, and they all look basically alike.
  13. Slug88, you are a lifesaver. I pulled out the airpower mod and now everything works great. Thank you!
  14. I'm having the same problems as you are, Paper Tiger -- and I bought my version of Marines directly from Battlefront. I see no reason to believe that buying the Battlefront version would do you any good. It appears we're both out of luck. I'm upset about it too. I've been very excited about this game, and now I cannot use the Marines module, or even access the old CMSF.
  15. CMSF Marines has been crashing within a minute or so on every game I've tried. It puts up a "Windows must close message." It also crashes immediately if I press the button for starting up the scenario editor. I updated my Nvidia drivers, but the problem remains unchanged. Help!
  16. I'm looking forward to seeing (and battling on) your vision of the City. Very nice work, and evidently well thought-out.
  17. Paper Tiger, Thank you for continuing to post your Hasrabit battles as stand-alone scenarios. Aside from being great scenarios, I like having access to the maps for my own tinkering (alternative OOBs etc.). Fine work!
  18. This is great stuff. It really opens my eyes to what sort of things can be done with the WEGO system.
  19. Yes, I'm glad this one was bumped. I didn't see it the first time out. Excellent use of the commands we already have. Good thinking.
  20. I haven't played the scenario itself yet, but I've studied the map, and it's really, really well done.
