Maybe you guys need a vacation...

Good Idea! I think the first order of business would be to discuss classless sig lines. Would you agree? -
Better my Johnston than your dingy. </font>

But does he have sensisible chic is what the forum really wants to know! </font>

No NO No, I'm picking on Marlow because he's............ Marlow!!!! [serious]-That fight in Leyte Gulf was one of the most stirring fights in naval history. The calm self-sacrifice of those tin cans and escort carriers put to shame the Japanese moral superiority claims. Much like the torpedo squadrons at Midway. My hat is off to both groups of America's finest.[/serious]

Let's try and keep the Lewinsky references in the General Forum. I blame Marlow for posting his Johnston picture here.

You sir have come to the right spot. I am absolutely the worst person to give advice, but as you are now safely in the hands of Jersey John, you will have no further worries. Again welcome to the SC Community, without doubt the best on the BFC board.

Welcome to the SC Forum! You'll find that for many Americans, English is a difficult language as well. Did you know that one of the moderators is German? Small world huh?

Looks like she wants to get her hands on Kurt's unit mod!

The Next Trivia Question from the Earl

There were sheep at Tobruk??? -
I am in agreement with Michael that knowledge of the game engine is a pre-requisite for employing successful tactics. Knowing that you need your infantry covering force to shoot at anything that shows itself during the advance and dealing with the intricacies of covered arcs, area fire, etc. sometimes makes it less than intuitive to convert your plans to action in game terms.

Does HMG annihilate tank from above?

I thought I read that the reason the US military went with the .45 pistol was due to experiences in the Philippines in which there were instances that someone would empty his revolver into one of the guerillas (1900 era) and they would keep on coming. The .45 was designed to "knock back" the individual as well as kill him. Disclaimer- I am not a grog, but I do recall reading something to that effect.

It must be truly rewarding to see such a novel and original concept be recognized and honored by your industry peers. I can only imagine the initial concerns and worries about launching this new approach to computer gaming. Clearly these awards and recognition are a tribute and vindication of your vision and determination to pursue your goal. I, like the many others who share your forums, can only offer my humble thanks for your willingness to take the risks to make this dream happen.

Yeah, Madmatt posted it on the CMAK Forum. Apparently, the quality of posts this morning was not up to the usual high quality standards associated with BFC. The choice was whether to ban all the people who posted this morning or just erase all the silliness and give everybody another chance. Hope this helps! [edited to indicate tongue firmly in cheek] NOT THAT CHEEK!!!!!!!!! Don't EVEN go there! [ January 29, 2004, 02:29 PM: Message edited by: Jim Boggs ]
