Afraid to put a bit of a dampener on this.
Macron did say again that troops on the ground in Ukraine, in some capacity, should not be impossible. He also said that France will step in to make sure that Russia cannot win if needs be.
But he also said that the time for doing something like that "is not today".
And the French troops in Romania arrived for regularly scheduled NATO training. There is no unusual troop movement there. 
As far as I have seen from some French commenters, this speech was mostly aimed at a domestic audience and is part of Macron's re-election campaign.
Still, the rethoric is new and has been coming too consistently for too long to be just a gaffe. It may be part of a new consciousness for Cold War acting, giving Russia messages to think about.

Macron with the right idea. After months and months of Russia not de-escalating, its time for the West to up the ante. Clearly Russia has decided to opt for rhetoric of "existential" for Ukraine to fall, it is past time for Europe to recognize that should Ukraine fall, the door is opened to a age of conflict threatening the rest of Europe, and better to slam the door closed in Ukraine then in the Baltics. 
Shut it down in Ukraine or in the next 20 years we will have a renewed Russian Empire chomping at the rest of Eastern Europe. 
 
 

Interesting rumours.
1. Tieplinsky is not an idiot, he was one of more "known" Russian generals of (reportedly and relatively to others) some better standing among soldiers. He doesn't (didn't?) shy away from visiting edge of frontlines. Also, some connected him to group of generals that Kremlin was unsure of during Prig's coup. It seems his death is a rumour so far.
2. 13th was  known source of still some level of independence , it's amazing how many milbloggers get killed/canceled/commited suicides in different ways already...if story about Chechens will confirm, it may be actually more than a common brawl. But his pciture seems fake- he was bearded several days ago.
3. What an idiot installed listening post on big ship in the middle of flat nowhere, when Ukrainians fly drones day and night, have thermal cameras and actually enjoy rare electonical advantage in the area? even reaching it with supplies would be difficult.

I see the rabble are getting roused.  We all appreciate the enthusiasm, we really do. As to updates, well I can echo what Steve has already said - we are aiming to have this DLC out this year.  As to progress, well data and research are largely complete (few things left but not biggies).  Maps for the major campaigns are built (I showed off a few and one was used in that CM tourney).  Campaigns are essentially designed and waiting for the kit.  Equipment lists are done, we will likely be haggling these to the finish line.
So over all scope, scale and background are all defined.  What we are waiting for now is the second longest pole in any content creation tent - artwork/modelling.  This is where stuff gets drawn and actually put into the game.  Once we get enough of that we start rolling on really putting it all together, which in the case of BAOR should be pretty quick, but we still need to do testing and polishing.  We still have a features debate - what is in or out features-wise but that will be sorted quickly.
So the short answer is “sometime this year” and we are fairly far along.  Now it is a matter of getting very few critical people’s time to deliver their end and we can then pull it al together.  No Star Citizen, conspiracy or subterfuge, only limited resources available and waiting in line.

It's the bridge. Better incoherent nonsense than acknowledging Ukraine should give up Crimea, that Crimea is Russia. 
How long should Mariupol be occupied before Scholz considers it Russian territory? Before he declines to ship German drones to attack it? Melitopol? Idiotic. We are dealing with a man who fancies himself in the mold of Peter the Great. Eating chunks of European territory is perfectly in line.

Honestly getting tired of seeing Ukrainian civilians be killed and Ukrainians not even being able to strike legitimate military targets inside Russia, with some of the weapons that they are provided.

Why Ukraine hasn't cleared Transnistria is something I don't understand. Technically, Ukraine would attack Moldova if they invaded Transnistria, but I don't think Moldova would mind.
This is just another piece of Russian influence that poisons its surroundings.

The entire communist system was (and is) terrifying to those who hold all the power and money.  It is a massive redistribution of wealth scheme.  Of course it did not work and simply made welfare states and new elites.  But hard capitalism, while definitely can build things, tends to create wealth divides which eventually come apart at the seams.  
During the Cold War this whole subversive under play was going on all the time.  Some of it was laughable, while other times it was terrifying.  Of course we are living through our own version of this today.

Nordstream wiped out 40% of Russia's export capacity to Europe. The vaunted China pipeline is still under negotiations and would take years to build, requiring state investment (! Without European profits to fund Gazprom, they can no longer fund Russian state tax revenue)
