  1. Only if you purchase the Ugluk unit, available from February 26 to March 5, 3019.
  2. Let us not forget: Imrahil's troops use the same graphic as the soldiers from Minas Tirith for pete's sake. The game isn't finished until the emblems of Dol Amroth are properly displayed!!!! Oh, as to the original question, mine would be a CMBB game featuring the units in Gear Krieg (see my sig). Armored walkers, rocketruppen, zombie soldiers, supersoldiers, and Tesla tanks all mixed in with the real WWII stuff we know and love. [ February 10, 2003, 02:15 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  3. He's definitely out there, as he and I are well along in Christmas Battle. You might want to hit him with an email. Or, I could use my forces to spell out your name and request that he email you.
  4. The strange issue I have with turning any AA on with my GF 3Ti is this: sometimes text disappears, like on the load email screen -- all text is gone. What would cause that? I heartily recommend turning "sharpen textures" on, too.
  5. Are you kidding? That's high praise, you have to speak up on the name. Speaking of high praise moves, Goody just pulled off an insane flank of my Tiger with what appears to be a nitrous equipped T-34. Now we'll see what happens when the two face off at 26m. mike the wino, the really really sad part is that when I chose shoot and scoot with that tank, I neglected to take into account the eighteen meters of visibility we have.
  6. Para -- just saw that you are in CMMC2 on the Soviet side. I've joined up as well. Mind if I shoot you an email about training stuff? [ February 09, 2003, 02:40 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  7. Ah, and the weekend has arrived. MikeT, you've got me killing my F5 key in anticipation of new CMMOS stuff today.
  8. Let me add my 2 cents to say that I too am glad that things like the IS-3 or the T-44 are in there at all, because the easy (and easily, easily justified given real WWII history) option would have been to leave them out. I hope negative comments on the message board don't result in adverse decisions for CM2. [ February 09, 2003, 10:13 AM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  9. It is unlikely that we will spend the time to make the models importable. There really is no reason to do this for a game like CM, except for those we didn't get time to finish. The benefit of the new engine is that we should be able to do everything, even if the vehicle list is as ridiculously long as that of CMBB. Steve </font>
  10. I almost forgot: mike the wino, you have disappeared at a most inconvenient time, just when the game was getting very interesting! Send me back my turn! Oh, and SgtTwoShoes, you are going to pay for picking on those poor, peaceful little PIIIs -- works of art, really -- with your horde of go-carts.
  11. Oops. But from now on, let's just say it stands for "soon to be defeated Sgians." [ February 08, 2003, 10:57 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  12. Um. Um. Um. Suddenly I think TNT stands for something very different from what I thought. [ February 08, 2003, 10:57 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  13. Does that mean even user created models/units (ala Neverwinter Nights)? I'd love to see that in the new engine, though obviously I wouldn't sacrifice very much for it. Thanks for everything!
  14. Let's face it, SgtTwoShoes, your troops are just damn strange. It's not every day that I stumble into a bloody anthill of T-34s only to have them fire smoke at me.
  15. *gasp* Unis AND gridded terrain? We're not worthy.
  16. Okay, one more person I gotta ask: What's the fascination to adding the extra "t" to Becket? You aren't one of those Baseball Card Freaks, are you?  (Becket = St. Thomas a Becket of Canterbury) [ February 07, 2003, 04:57 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  17. I've got about 13 games going right now. Once I finish one or two (like, oh, I don't know, driving Goodale into the ground), then I'd be up for it.
  18. Bah, who cares if rockets are inaccurate. Ever see the films of Katyusha batteries firing? Man, what a sight. I'll throw those into my games any time.
  19. What happens when a T-34 fast moves right into the path of a Tiger? This. I thought this was a neat pic, first time I've seen a brew up that spectacular (usually they don't have fireworks like that). Very cool BFC. [ February 06, 2003, 11:57 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  20. So, Comrade Goodale how close did I come to making my boast come true? How painful, tell me, was this?
  21. Everyone has their own preference but I very much prefer DD's "burned" look. I think it's much more realistic (as opposed to the lush-green-lawn look of the original -- almost like a golf course!) CBB </font>
  22. When you install a non-CMMOS mod, you overwrite the standard CMBB bmps. This is not a problem if you want to keep this mod forever, but if you want to go back to the BFC mod, or easily switch mods in and out, CMMOS is the way to go. CMMOS backs up the BFC bmps when you install a mod, so reverting to default is a one button exercise. Also, many of the modders include multiple options, and with CMMOS you can easily change which option you've applied without ever having to muck about in the files. CMMOS rules, the only non-CMMOS files I use are AndrewTF's winter unis, and those will be in CMMOS soon enough. [ February 06, 2003, 03:33 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
  23. I don't want to knock anyone's work, and DD put a lot of work into the mod, clearly. However, I found I did not like this mod -- everything looked sort of burned, like grass in a drought. Thanks to CMMOS (yay!) reinstallation of the BFC textures was painless. Your experience might be different, though. With CMMOS you could always just d/l it overnight, pop the mod in the next day, and see what you think. If you don't like it, removal is a breeze. Here is a pic of the mod: [ February 06, 2003, 02:08 PM: Message edited by: Becket ]
