  1. If this is a repeatable problem, send me the last known 'good' turn or the last 'autosave.sav' and I'll take a look. Please send the file to support@furysoftware.com with a description on how to repeat the problem. Thanks, Hubert
  2. Previously saved games from the "pre-patch" version are not compatible with v1.02. You will have to delete all files found in the SAVE and PBEM folder to eliminate the error message Hubert
  3. If you have a saved game that you know will repeat the problem, please send it to me along with a description on how to reproduce it to support@furysoftware.com Hubert
  4. The easiest way to do this is to purchase the game for only $25. You can order the game here: https://www.combatmission2.com/stratcom_order.html Hubert
  5. ALT-TAB does get locked by DirectX on win9X/ME machines while on 2000 and XP it does not. The ESC key should work as a viable alternative although it may be a bit stingy with this during AI turns. Hubert
  6. This is already a fix as a part of patch v1.02 Hubert
  7. Nope, if you are both running 1.02 then there shouldn't be a problem. Now this might be a silly question but are you sure you are saving it to the right PBEM folder? Do you have several installations of SC possibly, i.e. demo, v1.0 etc. If not send me the file at support@furysoftware.com and I'll take a look. Hubert
  8. Ask him what version of SC he is using, if it's from the older beta demo version the two versions are not compatible and probably why you cannot see the file. Hubert
  9. If you haven't updated to the patch v1.02 this may solve the taskbar problem for you as it now uses DirectX and seems to have resolved most desktop issues entirely. Note you will need DirectX 7.0 or higher. You can download the patch here http://www.battlefront.com/products/stratcom/download.html To solve the sound issue, open the file called 'SC.ini' that is found in your installation directory and change 'sound interrupt = 0' to 'sound interrupt = 1' Hubert
  10. When the game loads proceed to the main menu screen, there is some small text in the bottom right corner that tells you the current version number. Hubert
  11. Just to make sure, delete all the files in your SAVE and PBEM folder since it's not backwards compatible with "pre-patch" games, and any corrupted files in those folders may cause problems when loading saved games in SC. Now for the emailing problem, some ISP's from the sounds of it don't like the save game files from SC. I've heard that zipping the files first and then sending seems to resolve the issue. It's a bit of a pain since you have to zip and unzip, but should work and will at least be playable. Hope that helps, Hubert
  12. No problems, give me another hour or so If you have yet to go to v1.02, it fixes the issues I described as well as a few others. You can grab it here: http://www.battlefront.com/products/stratcom/download.html Don't forget to delete all the files in your SAVE and PBEM directory as the pre-patch save games are not compatible with the v1.02 patch. Happy gaming! Hubert
  13. Nope, no special coding here, my guess is that it is related to the "pre-patch" random number seed bug. See below for more. There was a bug that whenever the random number generator received a starting seed value of '0' all research categories would get a 'hit'. This has been adjusted accordingly and part of the v1.02 patch. Very interesting point, something to consider for sure! Hubert
  14. Interesting idea, but there is no support for that right now, and most likely not in the future. Sorry about that! Hubert
  15. This has been resolved in the patch where supply is now calculated through any friendly territory and not limited to just a single hex color path. Hubert
  16. Just wanted to mention that I forwarded some excellent work to Otto for his SCHQ that includes an Italian MOD for SC. It's work done by Fabio Cavalieri and I believe it's up and running right now if you want to check it out under 'Graphics Mods' http://www.ww2n.com/schq/ Hubert
  17. Ahh OK, I have not tried this helper myself but did take a quick look at the site. There are some help files located there, perhaps these will help, otherwise I know Fuerte (the PBEM helper creator) frequents this forum from time to time and perhaps he can give you more help to get it running. Hubert
  18. 'Pre-patch' saved games are not compatible with version 1.02, delete all files in the SAVE and PBEM folders before installing the patch and it should run fine. Hubert
  19. I'm a little confused myself, can you be a little more specific as to what you need or what you are trying to do. Thanks, Hubert
