  1. Oops, that is a mistake as I wanted to at least let you know the exact numbers whenever you point your mouse over each individual bar (in the bar graph) even if it is maxed at 50+ visually. I'll correct this part for the first patch.
  2. 1. Ok haven't seen that one yet but I'll take a look. Can you tell me if this was during Network, E-mail or Hotseat play? 2. Cheese Panzer, correct
  3. Hey Edwin, Currently I'm working on the first patch but eventually (and hopefully relatively soon) going to put together a formal documentation on AI scripting and the whole AI process in general. This should hopefully help you with your script work and answer most of these questions as it can become, as you've seen, quite involved.
  4. This simply depends on terrain and the minimum AP required to move to the next terrain. For example if you are in the mountains with limited supply and your only next available tile is a mountain tile you will need 2 AP in order to move.
  5. Hellraiser, This might happen on your turn because you can see the RN but I believe on your opponent's turn his ships will still face their normal direction, i.e. away from your unspotted ships.
  6. It can it only depends on the first turn weather, i.e. if it is clear or not.
  7. Not to worry guys, I'll be reviewing this, and many other things and possibly making a change here and there
  8. Can you send me the last saved turn, where this exact problem occurs, so I could take a look, thanks!
  9. They will also need at least one experience bar before you can elite reinforce as well.
  10. Strange error, can you send me the contents of the ERROR directory (compressed) and describe the error in an email (just so I can keep track of various errors being sent my way). This ERROR folder can be found in your installation directory.
  11. JP, the defender does gain an initiative in this case but if the eventual combat odds still favour the surprised unit then they are given the final option to attack... this is a slight change from SC1
  12. Couple of things to remember (in case they were not noticed in this game): 1) In the convoy screens you can adjust how much money is being sent to each major, i.e. you can increase USA convoy MPPs to the UK and the UK can also increase convoy MPPs to USSR 2) Destroyed units (this didn't make the manual but rather the errata file) can be rebuilt at 60% their original cost and half their original production time. These will appear with an '*' next to their name in the name list in the Purchase Unit dialog. This can be especially helpful in the USSR.
  13. It could very well be the video card as I believe it is an on-board card correct? I remember a friend having the same card not (on a stock eMachine like system) and not being able to run a particular game as well. We updated his card with one of the newer ATI like cards and it ran fine after that.
  14. Ok, well glad to hear at least that you were able to get it running
  15. That is odd and I've never seen that before... I can take a quick look and see what might be causing that issue.
  16. Sorry to hear about the continued trouble but unfortunately something still sounds corrupt. Do you have the possibility to try this on a second computer just to make confirm that at least the downloaded file is working correctly?
  17. Ok great and yes this was an odd error as it seems that some video cards just don't support, for whatever reason, the DirectX mirroring command (as they should) so I just decided to skip it entirely by using a second set of mirrored units in the bitmaps folder.
  18. Actually can both of you send me the files (compressed) that can be found in your ERROR folder in the SC2 installation directory. This will help me track down the errors. Thanks, Hubert
  19. Cheese Panzer, Glad to hear you finally got the game running. The few graphical glitches might be a resolvable problem as well. Can you try running the game without 3-D unit icons? This option can be selected in the OPTIONS dialog in the upper left hand corner of selectable options. If this seems to fix the problem then the good news is that there is a patch in the works that will have 3-D units work properly for all systems. In fact this is already a part of the new demo and if you try the latest demo this can be confirmation that it will work on your system. Hope this helps, Hubert
  20. This happens on rare occasions when the video memory is not properly released by the system... can you try a reboot to see if this resolves the issue. Also, can you try the game with the non 3-D unit icons? This can be selected in the OPTIONS dialog in the top left corner of selectable options. IF this resolves the issue for you there is a fix for this in the works and in fact the new demo has this fix in place. You could download the new demo and confirm that the new fix indeed works on your system for now.
