  1. It is but it isn't While it is true you can load previous saved games and campaigns with v1.05, officially the behind the scenes code changes actually make them incompatible since you might run into some problems down the road during gameplay due to some calculation and other changes that were applied as *fixes* for the v1.06 patch.

  3. Great news RevJack n0kn0k, yes this definetly worked fine in Beta but apparently some systems just don't like that pink color so a small correction was needed. If anyone else has the same problem send me an email at support@furysoftware.com and I can provide you with the details on a temporary fix until an official patch update becomes available. Hubert
  4. Thanks and like I mentioned in the other thread I really don't like it when things don't go according to plan for the customer so consider this fixed officially very soon. In the meantime it looks like I have a temporary fix available until a new patch adjustment is ready... if you send me an e-mail at support@furysoftware.com I can provide you with the details. Actually same for anyone else with this problem. Hubert
  5. Thanks and the truth is this was one of the most tested patches we ever released for SC so it can be quite dissapointing when things don't go smoothly... especially on your end as the customer. Ok, looks like I might just have this resolved on my end... I'll send you another email with some instructions for another more complete solution. If that goes smoothly I'll just have to make sure it doesn't break on systems that are known to NOT have this issue and we'll see what we can do about releasing an updated patch fix soon.
  6. Ok, I actually didn't send all the applicable files as that was more of a test... I will send you the rest of the files now that I have narrowed down what the issue might have been. Thanks for your cooperation in narrowing this down. Hubert
  7. Is your e-mail address in your profile still valid. I can try sending you altered bitmap files to see if that makes a difference. In the meantime can you try the other compatibility modes available as well just to see if that makes a difference? Hubert
  8. Boron, can you try running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. This can be set by right clicking on your desktop shortcut for SC2 and selecting 'Properties'. Select the 'Compatibility' tab and from there it should be pretty straight forward. Hubert
  9. Hi RevJack, Can you try running the game in Windows 98 compatibility mode. This can be set by right clicking on your desktop shortcut for SC2 and selecting 'Properties'. Select the 'Compatibility' tab and from there it should be pretty straight forward. Hope this helps, Hubert
  10. Hills, unfortunately as mentioned this was a part of the change we had to make for Vista compatibility, can you try the suggestions I outlined in the previous message to see if that helps? Hubert
  11. Sorry to hear about the trouble guys... we made a slight change for Vista compatibility and it appeared to work without a hitch prior to release (we had it tested on at least 20 different machines covering Vista and XP). There are a few things you can try: * If the new ATI drivers don't seem to work I would suggest rolling back to your previous driver since you were at least not receiving any DirectX errors. I did hear a report of at least one system where the ATI Catalyst 7.2 driver didn't work but 7.1 did... not sure if it applies but if it is the same driver then there might be a fault with the 7.2 version provided by ATI * Try running the game in XP (if running on Vista) or Windows 98 compatibility mode. This can be set by right clicking on your desktop shortcut for SC2 and selecting 'Properties'. Select the 'Compatibility' tab and from there it should be pretty straight forward. Hope this helps, Hubert
  12. Hey Boron, I'll just move this to the Tech Forums and respond there...

  14. Hi Fantomas, Sorry for the delay but unfortunately there were a few technical issues with the French patch release... as soon as those get sorted out we'll have it out as soon as possible. Hubert
  15. Thanks for the file... took a look but was unfortunately not able to repeat it
  16. I took a look but as mentioned in the e-mail it is difficult to say for sure... perhaps the combat was 1-1 and your unit lost +1 and his unit lost -1 due to the additional +/- 1 combat addition it resulted in the 2-0 attack you observed.
  17. Question for you, are you sure it was not a case of surprise contact and then Bromley choosing to attack the hidden defender now revealed? I only ask as a change from SC1 was that if contact still did not reveal favourable odds for the hidden defender then the player that originally moved his unit has the option to follow up on an attack himself. If not and if you see this happen again, send me a turn so I can take a look and I can better make an assessment as otherwise I am unfortunately only guessing
  18. Great list Normal Dude and I defintely recommend everyone at least try out 2010 The Russians are Coming as soon as the patch is available. This is one I had a chance to take a quick look at and it is a great example of what is possible via the Editor, not only a great MOD but a complete overhaul using the SC2 engine to create a custom game... very nice work indeed
  19. Actually the problem is that sub raiding has to be at the end of a turn since it is now a part of MPP collection... no real way around that unless I change the system, but perhaps a reminder at the beginning of your next turn or a separate report screen that can be double-checked in game with recent convoy losses and convoy losses in general over time etc. might be helpful and resolve the issue... well, hopefully?
  20. Actually the hidden defender does receive a 25% readiness bonus while the moved unit takes a 25% readiness loss. After that the hidden defender will only attack if the attack odds favour it... otherwise the attack option will go to the recently moved unit. Perhaps not an ideal situation in every case as noted above but in most cases it does punish the player for bumping into hidden units recklessly.
