  1. Guys consider this the first and last warning... please move this discussion out of the forums. Locking this up.
  2. Re-strengthening should not reset build time... other than that I'm not sure really and I can't speak much for custom mods, are you sure the build time was set for 40 days?
  3. Henker are you sure it updated to v1.06 properly when you installed the patch? From your description here this still sounds like v1.05a. The initial video mode setup for v1.06 should look a list of available video modes, something like the following: Can you double check that once you are in game the version number at the bottom right of the screen says v1.06, i.e. when in the MAIN MENU screen? Hubert
  4. Doesn't look like this thread has much to do with SC2 so before it goes any further I'm locking this up.
  5. Henker, sorry to hear about the trouble and agreed with n0kn0k the more info you can provide us the better we will be able to correct the issue for you. Off hand though the v1.06 patch was actually specifically designed to support multiple resolutions... essentially all resolution modes available on your system that are >= 1024 pixels in width and >= 768 pixels in height. Question for you, when you are in game and when you select SETTINGS does it show you all the available resolution settings or just 1024x768. If it shows more than just 1024x768 does clicking on the small arrow buttons (immediate right of the resolution list) work by allowing you to select alternate resolutions? Hubert
  6. Wow, this is sounding very impressive Normal Dude... looking forward, as always, to seeing another sample of your work in action
  7. Hey guys, can you tell me what resolution you are both playing and if at all possible a sure fire way to repeat this. I've tried to repeat this on my end but unfortunately have never been able to do so. Hubert
  8. No problem and glad to hear you got it working
  9. Roger, if you just install the original game from the CD without the v1.06 patch do you receive the same error?
  10. Roger I would also try downloading and applying the latest DirectX runtime to see if that helps. This can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx
  11. Hi Roger, Sorry to hear about the trouble, sounds like you meet the minimum requirements but just to make sure I would make sure that there is enough Video and RAM memory available. Are you running any other programs in the background that might not allow the game to have enough memory to launch? Also, double check to see that the installation directory is not write-protected.
  12. n0kn0k, did you change something else on your system, perhaps the video card driver?
  13. Hi Paratrooper, Glad you like the game As SeaMonkey mentioned if you open up the desired campaign via the Editor you can change the end date. Also you might want to edit the VICTORY scripts (using the Editor) or disable them when you start the campaign for game play. To do this you just have to go to the OPTIONS->ADVANCED->SCRIPTS dialog and disable the applicable VICTORY events. Hope this helps, Hubert
  14. Retributar, of course and I'm not trying to really hold any important information back... honest truth is SC2 has kept me busier, for a lot longer than I was originally hoping, so while work has started it is in very early stages and not quite ready for prime time announcments just yet as things could still change. Still narrowing it all down sort of thing
  15. Yes they need to be placed on the web first and in .jpg format. Hubert
  16. Unfortunately a saved game won't help much as I would need to be able to connect to your partner. I'll keep an eye out for it and see what I can do.
  17. I can't seem to be able to repeat that guys... is it only with Thrawn's campaign? Also what mode of Multiplayer is this in... Hotseat, TCPIP, Email? Any specific steps I need to do to repeat this? Any help tracking this down is always appreciated. Hubert
  18. Moonslayer, the change was made to pink, as the new code allowed me to use whatever color I needed, and pink has always been the desired color as it is much easier to see what will be transparent in game especially when using other white colors for sprites etc. Problem is it looks like the pink color is not liked on a few systems out there but switching it back to white seems to have resolved the issue. We are running a few more tests and if it looks like this is the final solution then I will be making a post to MODDERS to not use anything but white as there could be problems for those few users of the game.
  19. Jp Wagner, A change that was made for Vista compatibility was to have the code look for whatever color is at pixel (0,0) the upper left hand corner of the bitmap and use it as the transparent background color. In doing so there was one issue with the 'flag_sprites_mirrored.bmp' as the pixel at (0,0) is not the desired transparent color but rather a pixel from the pole holding the flag. If you edit the pixel at (0,0) to be the same as the white background color this should resolve the issue on your end.
