  1. You must be doing Something Wrong. Here's a screenie of my Panzer IV J existing happily in CMBB: Perhaps the problem is in using the CMBO textures?
  2. Hmm. The Panzer IV J and H graphics in CMBB and CMAK are identical so there should not be a problem. The mesh skirt transparency should work if the skirt is a separate BMP file from the vehicle hull or turret side. As you can see from the screenshot, transparency works on both the turret and hull skirts. I suppose I could just drop the new BMPs into CMBB and see what happens.
  3. I've been adding some camouflage and weathering effects. A few more details to add and it's ready to go. Bow track link and treadway graphics courtesy of the generous and talented MikeyD.
  4. Uh, I'm a little uncomfortable with all this groveling. Please just send cash instead. Send some to MikeyD, too. It's his thread, after all. [ March 15, 2005, 11:24 AM: Message edited by: AndrewTF ]
  5. And Zimmerit? How'd you like some Zimmerit, too?
  6. Get Prokofiev's music to Alexander Nevsky. It's available at either a seven-movement cantata with mezzo soprano version or a recently reconstructed full soundtrack. Four words: Battle on the Ice...
  7. That's exactly what I meant! No hurry, as I don't have a lot of time to work on mods right now as it is.
  8. Well, everything on *my* Panzer IV mod is being redrawn, too, so you're not so special Mr. MikeyD Bigshot! Seriously, these mods are seriously cool! Is there any way you could e-mail me a copy of the artwork for your Panzer IV track links so I won't have to redraw them? An EPS or a PSD or similar raster file with a transparent background would be ideal. You can send to andrewtf at foxarts dot com. My late Panzer IV may not be out for a while due to spare time issues, but I think it will compare favorably to yours (I hope). What I may do is make mods sets for the J, H, and late G versions. If you're planning a late G then I probably won't bother.
  9. oh, yeah... that. I got bored with it so it's shelved for a while. I also got thrown off by losing my CMAK disk. I'll finish it eventually. </font>
  10. No worries! I did notice the camo tarp on the StuG, though. I forgot to add to your mod announcement thread--I was going to mention that it is a super cool mod and EVERYONE who hasn't downloaded it should. I only use MikeyDâ„¢ Brand StuGs any more (And T-34s for CMBB).
  11. Got it. I'll look through my files and see, although I haven't done *that* many vehicle mods. I can make you a yellow Jagdpanzer IV and of course the Panzer IV J when I'm through with it. Now all someone needs to do is make a building mod so they look like they're made of Legos.
  12. Baksheesh in any form always helps! A book would be nice. Too bad you don't run a wine import business like our friend WineCape. Or a brewery--I'm not picky. What do you need and how soon? We can continue the discussion off-board if you like.
  13. Yes. All the master files are layered Photoshop files with the weathering/camouflage/markings in separate layers. It's a simple matter to hide the layers in question and produce a plain version.
  14. oh, yeah... that. I got bored with it so it's shelved for a while. I also got thrown off by losing my CMAK disk. I'll finish it eventually.
  15. Well, I get tired of waiting for you to make a Panzer IV mod so I decided to do one myself! I'll feel free to borrow where necessary, though the mg mods are borrowed from Juju's modslut smack!
  16. My first "real" tank (like, with a turret and everything) since CMBO! I decided to take a crack at the Panzer IV J. Here are some spots of the thing outside the factory on a test run. Please note that no weathering and not a few details have yet to be added. My Copious Spare Time being what it is (or isn't, really) these days it will be a while before the final version is ready for release, but I promise it will be before CMx2 is released. Yes, it's entirely new "from scratch" and represents a late-version J with mesh skirts.
  17. The late SPW 251 series vehicle mods should work ok in either CMAK or CMBB.
  18. I like the "Great and Powerful" bit. We need to add "wealthy" in there, too... I will upload them again to CMMods.com. They are similar to the CMAK versions, but are plain dunkelgelb without the camouflage pattern. The CMAK ones should work ok in CMBB.
  19. Rob--check your email. I guess I never re-uploaded these mods after the Great Crash.
  20. Ross... wow! Ritzy. I grew up in Novato and find myself living there yet again. Check your e-mail, and thanks! I'll use the maps to complete the world's longest scenario-in-progress.
  21. Sounds cool, but apparently it only works with Windows. Edited to add: if someone wants to procure and send me a 1:25000 map showing the San Vittore del Lazio and surrounding areas they'd be my extra-special best friend.
  22. Just do an exhaustive search of any related terms you can think of. Are you using pictures of uniforms to create the mods or are you using them only as photo references? I started off using photos gleaned from the Internet to create mod BMPs and ended up making everything from scratch because in the end it was easier . This site's got excellent, straight-on photos of Japanese uniforms that you might find useful: http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Japanese/01Japanese2.html
  23. I've uploaded several German uniform mods for late-war units (June 1944 on) to http://www.cmmods.com get rid of the tropical equipment and uniform bits used in the original CMAK graphics. American and Commonwealth uniform graphics should be ok.
  24. You hit the field gear photo reference jackpot with that one. Thanks!
