  1. I think you're correct, but I'm not a German tank expert, so there's a slim chance I could be wrong. I'm working on a mid production version and that could have Zimmerit on it.
  2. Ready for download now at http://www.cmmods.com : an early production Tiger for the Italian theater. Modeled after sPzAbt 504 vehicles in Siciily, kind of. It's plain dark yellow mainly because I'm too lazy and impatient to paint a camouflage pattern. I've added cool track links on the turret because they look cool, but there's an option to not have them if that makes you happy. Edited to add: It should work ok in CMBB with no renumbering. 3. Looks good! That's what the modder version is for. Anyone may feel free to do anything they want with that version. Make a tiger-striped Tiger, paint a whale on the side, paint it hot pink, make it invisible. I don't care. Have fun with it.
  4. I've posted three Tiger early mods over at http://www.cmmods.com/. Two are specific to the Tunisian campaign, but the third is a "blank" unweathered and unmarked set of textures for use by modders. Since the numbering for the early tank is the same in CMAK and CMBB some enterprising modders may want to use it for CMBB vehicles. Full details and more screenies at the CMAK place.
  5. Available now at http://www.cmmods.com/: three new PzVI Tiger early mods! All textures have been completely re-drawn from scratch. Available are two North Africa Tigers, one in green from sPzAbt 501 and one in brown-olive camouflage from sPzAbt 504. The third is a "modder's special" with plain dark-yellow unmarked and unweathered textures specifically for creating additional Tiger mods. Options include tactical numbers, insignia, and bow tracks. sPzAbt 504 Tiger sPzAbt 501 Tiger, with optional turret number Modder's Special
  6. Hella cool! I might have to download this now at work just so I can admire the BMPs.
  7. It's getting close to being done. I added much of the weathering effects today. I just need to wrap up the detaily bits on the upper surfaces and get rid of a couple places where the values are off on adjacent textures and it'll be ready for release. Then I can start work on the next 3 versions in the game. There will be two versions for Tunisia. The one I've been showing represents a vehicle from Schwere Panzerabteilung 504, and is painted africa brown with olive camouflage overpaint. Rear turret number will be optional, as will bow tracks. The second version represents a Tiger from Schwere Panzerabteilung 501. In researching this mod I read that Tigers from this unit were possibly painted an olive or "pea green" color, maybe from the factory, or maybe sourced from either Italian or captured American stocks. Opinions vary, as usual, but I thought it would look cool so here it is. As always, artistic license comes in to play here. I think I can finish these this week, and release an additional unmarked/unweathered version for modders to play with, as promised.
  8. My CMAK American airborne mod features 82nd insignia. I've also made alternate German uniforms suitable for Normandy. They're all at http://www.cmmods.com.
  9. Not as much time as I thought, and not nearly as much time as the Panzer IV mod I recently released.
  10. I've completed all the basic redrawn textures. I now have to make adjustments so everything fits right and add the remaining details and stuff. It's about 85% done. I'll probably release an unmarked, unweathered factory-fresh version first for other modders to play with.
  11. I made a Golden Gate Park map a long time ago for CMBO that allowed you to battle through the museums, botanical gardens, and parts of San Francisco's Sunset and Richmond districts. Not sure what happened to it, but perhaps I've been toying with making a new version for CMAK, especially since I'm actually in the park right now and can check out the terrain features first-hand.
  12. It probably is . What are you doing, exactly? Just curious.
  13. Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check that out when I get a chance. I'm always up for learning new tricks. I usually use levels adjustment layers for highlights where I can paint them in convincingly, or I just use Photoshop's bevel and emboss layer effects, which can really come off as "glarey" if you don't get the highlight and shadow settings just right.
  14. I Googled up some tiger track pix on the Web, and I think I should be able to draw them up in Illustrator or Photoshop pretty easily. I'll make the file available to other modders when ready. Michael, I like your idea. You need to mod the gun projectiles to look like pieces of dry spaghetti, which is what we used as ammo for our Corgi and Dinky tanks when we lost all the little plastic thingies that came with them.
  15. I thought of it. I hate drawing tracks, too. For the Panzer IV I was lucky enough to have MikeyD kindly send me his track artwork to use (hint hint).
  16. Yeah, I tried that one too... with the same results  I promise I'll try the cap badge one more time.
  17. You know, I *tried* that more than once, and each time it ended badly. Too much distortion on the cap model. I suppose I could try again just to humor you. Who knows--it might turn out ok this time.
  18. Don't wait on my account. Once I get all the details and equipment and stuff added I may release this in an unmarked, unweathered, non-dirty version for people to paint up. That'll be fun, I think, to see what people come up with for CMBB and CMAK.
