  2. Now Im not from BFC, but heres a little update from what I can remember. Charles is still in a jar. The coding is so intense now that it has been rumored that his significant other is having to poor some of winecapes best into the jar (possibly replacing all of the original fluid). Here is a recient quote by Steve. (03/01) and another. (02/xx) Oh to hell with it I ain't doing anymore of your work. Do a For member #42
  3. MikeyD, They display for you because the images are cached on your local machine. So when your browser wants to display this page it will first check to see if its been updated (new pics and such) if not then it will get the pics from your computers browsers cache. That is why they display for you and not for us.
  4. you have to remember that in CMx1 all terrain elements are abstracted. So what you see on your screen is not how it would look in real life.
  5. Sniped from the WineCape "Synopsis" thread I bet if you did a search you could find some more. So look there. It also mentions water and terrain in there also.
  6. Why vaseline of course. I smeared it around there so the word search was the one that stood out.
  7. RE: sillyvillans Using the fancy SEARCH button at the top of the page, (picture for you so you dont have to scroll.) I found 3 links that had BF.c responding to this question. And that was only on the first page of three. halfway down page halfway down again As to the rest. Way to Troll there underbridge dweller.
  8. And Nidian1 You are just being mean. You should let him in on your little secret.
  9. IIRC the Soldier in question is a Stryker Troop. I would bet they get shortbarrels. [ February 13, 2006, 07:38 PM: Message edited by: Dogface ]

  13. Thanks akd I had a good friend who was in the electric grape. Its nice when its so easy to point out that someone is talking out of their ass.
  14. akd, My Aunt was in the same boat about 20 yrs ago. Once she picked the camera back up and became a "hobbyist" I think the art/skill really came out in her work. More than likely because she was shooting what she wanted to, and not what someone else wanted. Good Luck getting back to it.
  15. RE: silencer on tank MGs. Forgive me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the noise of the tank (engine, tracks, ect)kind of cancel out any perceived benefit of a silenced MG?
  16. The true question would be, "How many have pinecones?"
  17. no and or yes. or wait no. Ahh hell why not just look here
  18. But Nidan1, you have to remember that the Army (at least) cut the recruiting goal by acouple of thousand from last October. (+/- 6900 to +/- 4700). That is A big drop in numbers just to say you reached the goal. So it would seem that recruitment is going down.
  19. The problem with my quotes, I am comming to understand is that the transcripts I have been reading were released by Iraq and not the US. It seems that some things that were said by/between Glaspie and Saddam were not included in the released transcripts. Another problem is that from what I understand the transcripts that the state department have are still classified. So as of now its kinda hard to say who said what and what did they mean. But I would hope that someone who had been part of the department of state since the late 60's and who was considered an Arab expert whould have realized what was going to happen.
  20. what about the "we have no opinion" part. That combined with the "it is an arab - arab affair" and "Secretary (of State James) Baker has directed me to emphasize the instruction, first given to Iraq in the 1960's, that the Kuwait issue is not associated with America" (emphasis mine) says to me "go ahead and do what you need to do, the US will not do anything about it." I find it hard to believe that the State Department would not understand the mentality of Saddam. I mean hell, I am by no means a Arab expert, but I realize that there are many mitigating factors in Arab politics (clan/tribal affiliation, ethnic background ect.). If I can see that just from the couple of books I have read on the subject (and by a couple I mean 2 books and some other papers/writings), I would hope that a trained Diplomat and the Sec. of State would understand that also.
  21. While not a "go ahead and attack Kuwait" it does seem to say that the US would turn a blind eye.
  22. Dont you have buckets of money to be taking somewhere?
  23. lol ya I noticed that. His sig line at fg also quotes soddy. And its a quote from this forum.
