The crew does NOT have to exit, just survive. So don't use 'em for scouts, etc.
I have not had a situation where a crew has been far out from the frontlines and gotten padlocked. Not sure if the game engine will do that with crews. It it does, obviously, you will have to sneak them back into your own lines, but my hunch is that if you hide them in good cover and they survive, then they will do fine.
It may be possible if an op has several nights in it, but, in my experience, only abandoned vehicles have been repaired, never knocked out ones (whether they brewed up or not).

When I installed 4.0 it stopped and told me I had to uninstall the previous version, so no, I don't believe you can keep both, unless you can rename some things to trick 4.0 into thinking you don't have a prior CMMOS on your system.
But, if you haven't tried it yet, let me tell you 4.0 is an incredible advance over the prior CMMOS. You may be a very talented programmer, and your personal changes may be great, but if thats not the case, you will not regret the upgrade to 4.0

Guess everyone is busy with the patch, but this is some damn nice work. The zig-zags, in particular, are a wonderful improvement.

Thanks, gentlemen.
This is totally awesome. Good ops have always been my favorite part of CM.

If you are referring to rulesets in the context of CMMOS, then they are the parameters that the program uses to apply to the mod's you select.
You d/l them as Gordon adds them with new mods, etc.

Words cannot express the "Thankyouness" you deserve for this.

Wrong thread.

Holy Cow. And I thought the old CMMOS was great.
Of all the great things the mod community has done, there is not even a close second to this, IMHO.

They become available in 8/44 in North, Center, and South.Originally posted by ColumbusOHGamer:In what time (month/year) is that bastage available? When I finally stop fartin around with the database, I wanna try one of these sucker out...
COG

I think what he's actually referring to is that the patch should keep crews from bailing out of AFV's when being massively plinked by small caliber weapons.
Crews bailing out of immobilized vehicles is certainly believable, as you never know when something bigger will take aim at you, artillery will start falling, etc.
-
To paraphrase Gordon:
Whitewash = fast
Snow = slow
Tons o'vehicles in CMBB all done slow = insanity sets in before finishing in two years.
Now maybe if some of the talented modders could help he and Marco, et al, out, we could get some of that goodness too.
-
Please do COG!
I'm a 56k type, myself, but I would rather d/l 20+ megs of .wavs than have to go get some software I'll never use again and go through the whole conversion process.
I've been a Modslut since the early days of BO, but I never fooled with any of Scipio's sounds, or others, that were mp3's for the very reason you mentioned above.
-
You are the Uni Man!
My BB boys will soon look even better than my BO boys.
-
Yep, possible in the editor. Just letting him know he hadn't somehow setup that way.
-
Likely, just a fluke. You cannot drive into or setup vehicles inside a building.
-
Another Modder!
And a talented one right out of the chute.
These are very nice.
-
For vehicles and guns, its not too hard to count your ground forces kills and whatever is left, the Flyboys got.
But, if you are interested in infantry kills as well, then you will have to do a lot of adding to determine the kills that are unaccounted for, and so belond to the aircraft.
-
An unqualified yes. Ops are my favorite, and the front line determination works much better now.

No twisted panties here. You absolutely have your choice of free will and I made/make no objections to it. Merely the observation that you don't think this game is finished, but you want to go play one that is barely started.Originally posted by Suicides-by-Steve:Well, before you get your panties in a knot, Vergeltungswaffe, I never said I would NEVER play the game again, I simply stated that I didn't want to play it in it's present condition? Do you object to my choice of free will?
No, I don't think the game is finished- and by the sounds of it, some people here agree with me. Nothing personal to you Vergeltungswaffe, but at least I know I'm playing an alpha version with D3- I never expected to be a beta tester for CMBB however.
And before I just delete the folder, where is the documentation that says I should just remove the folder? Which page in the manual? Since there's no proper index, I can't even look it up.[/QB]
As far as some people agreeing with you. Yep, some people do. Probably several dozen out of the 10k+ folks registered here.
I thought you didn't buy the game? If you are referring to the "manual" that you downloaded with the demo, then sorry it doesn't have a computer primer in it. If you have no uninstall or add/remove option, then how would get rid of anything? Delete it.
CMBO went through a number of patches to finally arrive at 1.12. CMBB will no doubt go through a few too. But not to finish it, to make it better.
I should have never read this thread. Its trolling at its finest. You're fully entitled to your opinion, but theres not much to be gained with that kind of rant.
I'm outta here and I won't be back.

Amen to that.Originally posted by zukkov:only 2 places really. texas, and everywhere else. lol...

Open My Computer, open Program Files, then delete the folder that says CMBB.
You think this game isn't finished? And you want to go play an alpha?
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Here ya' go lcm:Originally posted by lcm1947:If you could provide a link to the database I would surely take a look and let you know my humble opinion. Sorry but due to losing my DSL all my favorites have been lost.

Well, in my experience, running under fire will garner you a high casualty rate.Originally posted by xerxes:Disagree, run is extremely useful.
If you're just talking about hurrying somewhere that troops are needed but with a covered approach, then certainly it could be useful. Tiring, but useful.

Got 'em. Love 'em. Great work.
