  1. Yep this would also have been a valid approach but I think Bil felt he had an opportunity which he ultimately did not commit to. I think he should have commited and made the forward dash, he still might have lost two tanks but he might have taken the Big Cat in the process and put his tanks on the flank of the remaining Panthers. Either way depending on LOS he still has enough tanks to try again as long as he can keep them out of harms way. Good game and not such the walk over we thought it would be. With Baneman having PF100 and plenty of infantry they might become the king makers if used right.
  2. From what I read No confusion, the TC of the Jumbo died but it is still active (at the moment). I think Bil missed an opportunity of getting side on to the beast. It was un protected by the Panthers and while there were some PF100's in the area I think it would have been worth the mad drive forward to see if you could have got a tank side on to the beast. If he was going to be aggressive then he needs to commit and I think he fell between two choices and paid the price. Still plenty of time left to play but that IMO might have been his best chance to flank the beast...
  3. Buy it (or any of them) you will really enjoy it once you get the hang of the UI. Try the Demo first. It is a superb game system. (IMO)
  4. I bet you had sweet dreams last night... That gun is a beast, I too would like to know the reload times?
  5. Christmas and New Year is always going to be tough lots to eat and drink and family time too... The weekend is nearly upon us so maybe a turn soon...
  6. No problem take your time, study the map, ask yourself what, who, when and how. Plan it through and visualise what you want to achieve.
  7. To be fair I think I might still be expecting more troops but I would hope I would not have split my armoured spearhead as he has. He needs a strong fist, if he continues to press forward split up he will be sliced and diced. It is easy for us to sit back and say what we would do, I wonder when he will work out what little infantry Bil has?
  8. Jim I know what I would be doing now and some times you need to take a step back to then move forward. Your tongue in cheek comment shows how often you become fixated on certain approaches that doom you to failure.
  9. Just seen Banemans post if I were him I would look at pulling back to ensure I had the remaining 2 Panther's together with the big boy. Then attack on left flank. He is attacking on too wide a front and with the drillings acting as flank guard he might have better success.
  10. Baneman I feel your pain, Bil is good, very good. All I can suggest is spend plenty of time thinking through the options. Really look closely at map and see if you can find a weakness. Also don't be constrained by conventional wisdom of having always to move forward. Good luck
  11. i have just double checked and I am pretty sure he only started with 3 Panthers and the big boy. So he has lost a third of the Panthers. More importantly he has a hole in his middle which if / when Bil realises can be exploited by an armoured thrust to split the German attack. This would force Baneman to turn sideways and cause the end of the big boy. just my 2p on where it could go next.
  12. We have to allow you to change the language as it gives you a sense of identity, youngsters always want to be different from their parents. I Guess your tank was slightly higher? So neutralised the sloped armour?
  13. Back to topic, cracking turn for Bil, the end is neigh.... for Baneman
  14. Feel the force.... Good turn for you Bil, as ever superb graphics to show the hit, I guess it managed to nail it in the side?
  15. Hi just pm'd you I guess I might be jumping in at deep end but should brush up my skills quickly... ;) if rather painfully.
  16. Interesting situation on Bil's left flank, if done well could distract his tanks and cause some opportunities. Sly a pm on the way...
  17. OK So I have come out of retirement to take part in a tourney. Bootie Please Add my name to list once a FGM approve my request to join the site. Cheers H I suppose I better start playing again now I have finished PoE. Anyone fancy a game? I am in UK and can produce a high turn rate at moment.
  18. I prefer to play scenarios double blind that are designed from historic situations, but if we had an AAR using a scenario from the new game it for me would stop me playing it double blind. For ages I did not read some threads in CMBN as I wanted to avoid any spoilers. Also you then have the problem of play balance, at least with points choices it is placed in players hands.
