How do humans compare to AI???
Abbott replied to Get Some's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
PBEM is full of tension from beginning to end. Totally different experience then the AI and a great one. -
Poll: What add features you wait for in CM2?
Abbott replied to Rarg's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Campaign mode or the ability to track an officers career, more terrain tiles and more flexibility with generating scenarios/maps. -

Ugh, guess I'll be leaving the board early...

quote:
Originally posted by Miyamoto Musashi: Ok, I admit it... I don't get it. Have newbie members begun resurrecting old, obsolete posts? Or is this some attempt at a joke? Or what? I haven't checked the board for weeks... been too busy playing CM and working on other projects to care... but if this is all people can think of to do here, then I guess I haven't missed much. Except for PEIPER's offensive tirade, which I'm very glad I missed. But if the relative newbies think this post is comical, you should have been around when it was fresh and meant something...

Wow, what's wrong with people enjoying themselves and being happy! I say let ‘em post I got it! I got it! -
I enjoy both of those points myself. I also enjoy the WEGO system tremendously.

Your favorite Allied/Axis armor selections

The Tiger 2 is just a bit to slow for me to find useful. -
Your favorite Allied/Axis armor selections
Abbott replied to The Commissar's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I am not up to speed on the Allies equipment as I spent most of my Wargaming years on the eastern front. However my favorites with the German armored equipment are based on what I feel I may be facing in opposition and/or the accidents of the ground. Tank heavy environment: No doubt about it, the Panther shines here! Points a bit low I like the Hetzer. Combined arms operations: It is hard to beat the Tiger 1 in any engagement. I also like the STG/75’s and STG/105’s. Points a bit low the MKIV’s or STG’s can fit the bill nicely. The STG’s are chosen here as they have a more favorable ammo loadout then the Hetzer and MG’s. Defensively: I like Anti-tank guns. If mobile anti-tank and anti infantry assets are needed it is hard to beat the STG’s. Marders also can be useful here but are more suited to an anti- armor role. If I have the points again the Tiger 1 is my first choice. My first all around choice (for any role) is always the Tiger 1 if I can afford it. -

I believe a personal e-mail complaint to BTS will be in order soon. Or MB could you please tone down your sexual humor? My children use this BBS. Thank you.

Compared to threads in the past (or any threads for that matter), the comments directed at Rob were light-hearted, silly, and bore no ill will. The only name-calling or harsh tone came from him, as when he asked if we "little people" could answer a simple question.

Exactly what I was thinking. To many late nights maybe?
