  1. A number of us have had the same idea but the present engine is both great but somewhat limited. We all hope that CMX2 will allow something like this in the future. However the present engine and human creativity can achieve alot! Yes a "a non historical wargame" using CM, much desired and much hoped for. A very large operation can be found for CMBO, Tactics II. Its an attempt at this.
  2. Thanks!! when you send it please put CMAK in the subject line or my spam killer may crunch it Hans
  3. That nice picture we get of far away hill in CMAK, is their an easy way to remove it? I'm trying to design a scenario that takes place on a "billiard table' type of terrain and those lovely mountains detract. Any easy way to suppress or remove? Thanks
  4. Mystro send me the file please. I have a large collection of obscure scenarios but that doesn't ring a bell what is the title that shows up in the CM start battle menu? Wayne100@emirates.net.ae

  6. Typhus Unitl GJK get his site up and running the best advice I could give is play a lot of scenarios by a variety of authors. Note what you like - and don't like in their briefings, maps, force set up, timing etc. It has been interesting to watch the maturity of the designer improve from the rather green days of CMBO to the maturity of the CMBB scenario and the excellent material coming out for CMAK. Find a good book on an action you are interested in and try to design a scenario that replicates the historical results. I also recommend using the proving grounds as a good way to get your scenario 'checked' out. Good luck and I look forward to stealing some good ideas from your scenarios in the future!
  7. There was another earlier 'three player' scenario. Bridges of Honor in CMBO Designed for two allied players vs one German. But like Panther Commander noted it was only for PBEM .

  9. Hey I'm half Danish - and I know how to use a translation program!
  10. A lot of Aussies and Dutch were captured and later sent to Burma. Specifically looking for some kinda diagram or map of the defense of Laha airfield.
  11. Found it thanks - hey saw a picture of a Scherenfernrohr very similar to one I use to use - superior to binoculars by far!
  12. Thank you both Andreas and that other guy! On last question for Andreas The metrological battery (the guys who send out the weather reports for the use by the German guns) What would its name be in German?
  13. Many thanks Bertram Could you do me a large favor? The original of the map I first posted above comes from the book Molenaar, F.J. De luchtverdediging mei 1940. (2 delen) , Den Haag, 1970. If you have access to it in a Dutch library I'd dearly appreciate it being scanned and sent. For this noble deed you will receive many thanks, a mention in the scenario as a source and another scenario built to your request. Hans email wayne100@emirates.net.ae
  14. Thanks Mike I had that source which is why I need a map, especially of the action at Laha. Speedy no info up on Gull force either. Did those worthly Aussies print any fat tomes full of maps on this action ? There is a book 2/21 Ambon island of mist by Courtney T Harrison - does anyone have that?
  15. Hey Adm All one needs to do is complain and all is well Either that or the evil spirits on the Internet have gone. Thanks
  16. Sand digger and Mace. Not to worry the door to my villa has a sign on it that says, 'pull' that should keep any Aussie raiders busy for at least 15 minutes. For Speedy yes they were the 2nd Bn 21st Regiment and C troop 18th AT battery + some ash and trash.
  17. Bertram please do, let me know if you need any help Hans
  18. You could open the scenario in the editor and using Alt 1,2,3 or 4 to add craters - which make nice foxholes too
  19. German artillery Grogs What type of organization did the Germans use on the Italian front for their heavy artillery? Was it attached directly to Divisions or formed into regiments/brigades and under control of the Corps? This is for what the Americans would call the GSR and Reinforcing role. I'm trying to determine what types of headquarters would be controlling the 170 and 240mm guns. Thanks
