  1. Actually you'll have a few more Israelis than that - to include Moshe Dayan, I'm making it into an operation, covering five days. The tank attack on Degania will be day three.
  2. Thanks for your efforts Oren_m, we await your offering.
  3. Another interesting unexplored CM area, the Chinese Civil war 1945-1948. Both sides using captured Japanese equipment plus US and Russian material.
  4. Great site Carl, may I suggest you link or post directly some of the other random reinforcement scenarios.
  5. Yes At the Scenario Depot CMBB there is a scenario called: Small Battles Objective It was specifically built to highlight a Brummbar. The Brummbar is the star - it comes in early as a reinforcement.
  6. Thanks Oren_m I wonder if we both got that from the same on line source? Is there nothing in the Hebrew sources under Irgun and Haganah history about who they fought a pitched battle with? I found that odd.. Another piece of Israeli history you might be able to help me on Master Sergeant Desmond Rutledge, British tanker who deserted from the British forces with his Cromwell tank. I believe he changed his name to Zvi Rimer? Is there anything in the Hebrew on his fights with the Cromwell in the 48 war?
  7. There's a nice piece of cheese for ya if you get the answer.
  8. Small bump - where are those British military Grogs with infinite resources?
  9. Any British unit grogs out there know which units were in Jaffa in April 1948? These were the units that fought a short action with the Irgun & Haganah to stop them from attacking Arab Jaffa. One Brit tank was reportedly taken out by a Israeli PIAT during this fighting. Any ideas on which Brit Regiment/Battalion this was? Could it have been the 2nd Battalion The Royal Lincolnshire Regiment?????
  10. Yep, my favorite memory of the AI was the fifth or sixth time I played the game. I'd set up a defensive position and the AI came right at me frontally, right up the road between to large patches of woods, I started knocking out German armour and infantry at a rapid pace - about fifteen turns into the game a Pz IV came around the extreme left flank and started to roll up my position with relative ease, I sent forces to stop that tank and then another showed up on the Left flank! Got me good. I made one of my first posts on the forum saying that a large thumb had come from out the sky and squashed my tanks!
  11. Hey Keth I think the curse of bad commo between our two IPs has hit us again. I've sent you some emails but you have not replied. So I'll put a note here in case you come by. Just a small problem with the Operation submit function and later the Author edit for submitted operations. I'm unable to edit the authors name in Operations. Thanks
  12. You are correct. It was that report that inspired me to do a scenario on Dragon Rouge. I have the map of Stanleyville already done, and just need a basic idea of the Para's squad structure to finish it. </font>
  13. I'm planning to use the captured Renault tanks for the Syrians - I have a lot of info on this battle except for a diagram (I have a 1:50,000 of the area) of the Kibbutz itself. Have an interesting (in Arabic) news item from a Damascus newspaper two days after the attack - their description of the Kibbutz makes it sound like a Maginot line fort! Virtually every link I have to Degania ends up being blocked by the UAE's security proxy - they tend to block any Israel websites! - still workin' this problem.
  14. The AI is both an idiot and a sneaky clever bastard - it often does stupid things but every once in a while it surprizes you. I enjoy fighting the AI at times but humans are always appreciated for their quile and unusual approaches. The AI's plodding attack is annoying at times, especially from a designers point of view. As CMx2 AI will be built for a more capable computer - more computational power should increase the AIs capacity to confound and destroy human opponents.
  15. Snarker Thanks, I suspect I have some bad info - appreciate the note.
  16. South African Defense forces and local rebels (UNITA) versus Angloan and Cuban forces.
  17. Do you still have that game? If so I have some questions...
  18. Dirty weather? Small Operations, Saar Bridgehead 1944, snow, ice and fog. Historic A new operation going up today, Small Operations Bishenpur, Burma PTO. Historic, has mixed weather. Brit/Gurkha vs Japanese combat in Burma, partially in the Monsoon season. Both Brits and IJA have tanks in this one. Historic
  19. by John Tiller I cannot obtain that game in the UAE (it mentions Israel) I have some questions about a few of the scenarios in it. Please email if you have a copy of that game Wayne100@emirates.net.ae and put CMAK in the subject line
  20. and other african brush war engagements. Any modern war grogs out there? I have the material that is available off the net so I don't need any assistance there. I am looking for a recommendation on a book(s) that cover these brush wars in detail enough for use in CM. Thanks
  21. If you want to see a finished and huge fight, goto the Scenario Depot and look up Tactics II in CMBO, there is about 11,000 points per side, big map.
  22. Ah more common vehicles shared by both sides, oh goodie
