  1. Small Operation Bishenpur, Burma PTO on the way too - if J2D can figure out how to beat those Japanese!
  2. Thanks for the info, yep the AEC had escaped my notice - that is why I love this board!
  3. Semi-grog question Is the Staghound III the Allied armoured car with the largest gun, a 75mm? Are their any others?
  4. Nope. It's one Soldatenschlachter, multiple Soldatenschlachter. One of the many cozy exceptions in German grammar. (Trust me, I'm a native German speaker. ) </font>
  5. Hey we could talk about horses.......
  6. Well I'll see if I can restore the honor of the wurst making club
  7. Thanks Dandelion, yep the # of guys and vehicles is just what I needed! You have to wonder how many times that unit got thrown into the fray when things got tough?
  8. Yep, anybody have any idea what was in a June 1940 13th Motorized Division Butchery Platoon? On June 18th 1940 they got into a little tangle with some French Armoured cars Yes I'm serious. TIA Hans
  9. Yeah we had a rare rain, hail and dust storm. First water from the sky in over a year and a half
  10. Found those, still twelve guys, wonder if their is anyone else?
  11. Besides engineers does any Allied unit have the option for explosives? If so can you tell me when and where?
  12. Not to forget early war 1940, Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, (Sealion England)and France. Not sure if anyone has done any Polish 1939 scenarios in CMAK - there are some in CMBB.
  13. That B T-34/85s and M-26s my dear - well kinda
  14. Stratos Of course you want that the game. Not only do you get to play a great game you get to know the loco people on this board. There are also a number of Spanish Civil War SCW (or more properly ECW) scenarios. As a matter of fact I've just started working on the July 26-27, 1938 battle of Candesa (Ataques a Candesa). Your local help would be appreciated Hans
  15. Thanks Pyewacket I found there are several of these little villages - workin' on it.
  16. Both Dutch and Japanese sources ID them as captured M-3s, they even managed to ID them as tanks that were lost and improperly destroyed by the Americans during the retreat to Bataan. I'll probably use a Pz III to represent them in the planned scenarios, they should stick out from the 'normal' Italian tanks we use!
  17. From the book Die 1. Panzer-Division by R Stoves Page 83 Der vorn mitfahrende Div.Kdr setsle noch nachts das verst. K 1 gegen die Marne-Brucken b. Hoericourt an, die der Kradshtz Zg Lt. Hz. Huppert im Handstreich nahm. There is also a English translation but it uses the same spelling for the town. So where is this Hoericourt? I've tried alternative spelling but cannot find anything close to the Marne river or its canals Any ideas?
  18. Yes its interesting, CM begins to break as a system if you get to big, or to small. Maybe someone with more time than sense should lay out an entire Panzerdivision on a cm editors sheet. Be interesting to see it Miniature guys do that all the time
  19. Just went thru that research angle, a number of Nipponese tanks in Malaysia but no Brits, some armoured cars thou. Correction some MG armed tanks but gun armed that I'm aware of. Here is an interesting unit http://www.geocities.com/dutcheastindies/indian_tank.html In DEI the Japanese used captured American M-3 Stuarts! [ November 11, 2004, 11:56 AM: Message edited by: Hans ]
  20. Thanks for the interesting information At this gap in time I'd say the difference was between what was authorized (French saying 6) and the what they had that worked (Germans saying 3) Thats the info I needed, .....wireless.....
