  1. While doing the research on this British vs Israeli (Irgun and Haganah) engagement I came across the forces that constituted the Arab defenders. The British were trying to maintain the mandate/peace and keep both sides separated. City defenders Jaffa defenders were made up from of a combination forces as follows: 1. Arab Liberation Army headed by 'Abdel Nijim al-Din and Michael al-'Issa (Palestinian Christian from Jaffa). 2. Local Palestinian volunteers. 3. 50 Yugoslavian Muslim Mujahideens who volunteered to defend the city. 4. Many Palestinian Germans from the German colonies near Jaffa and some Italian volunteers. I wasn't aware of the German colonies in Palestine.
  2. There are Pacific operations and Battles - look for scenarios with a PTO (Pacific Threate Operations) There are about a dozen or so
  3. I've tried to do something like this but the trucks route and run off. Trucks are extremely vulnerable to small arms fire too.
  4. Can you give a few more details before I make a recommendation? Do you want operations or battles? Do you want Historical, semi-historical or fictional? Small or medium (since you seem to dislike large! Any preferred nation, time period or location/
  5. I once designed a CMBB test scenario that took a look at that type of scenario. 3 platoons of different types of German flak versus Russian aircraft. Found it less than exciting to just watch the shooting!
  6. Ah found it, that is the CMBO operation Sealion by Michael Naragon you are playing?
  7. Hey Willbell You sure about the name of the scenario? Unless their is another Han's about I can assure you I didn't design that one!
  8. Sent you SO Saar (Willbell) 1944 - please note I didn't update the briefing!
  9. Gott'm sent you another copy of Saar - oh will send you a "Willbell" version with the reinforcements alread in them
  10. Balance for IP/PBEM? I say roughly add 1 company of green infantry (volksgrenadiers) and two panther tanks(reg and vet). In battle two. I sent you an email, I looked thru my spam and didn't see anything from you. The security Proxy here can do weird things to foreign email.
  11. Perhaps you could use one of the aerial pictures from Milta pass in '67
  12. Bois de Copse Does this mean "brush woods" or "woods of brush"???? The spelling may be off, its right at the edge of visablity in an old map.
  13. To whom are you speaking? I didn't create a sea lion operation just one battle scenario for CMAK, Small Battles, Englishmen at War 1940
  14. Try again, a problem with the security proxy has now been cleared up! Be sure to put CMAK in the subject line!
  15. I cannot seem to get the editor to accept arrid rock or sand when in North Africa, Crete or East Africa. Now in other new scenarios this is not a problem - any hints as to what settings might cause this to occur? Has anyone else seen this?
  16. I just tried to convert a CMBO to Cmak 1.03 and didn't succeed, help help! Pyewacket where art thou?
  17. AIW ='s Arab Israeli Wars, 1948 to present, I will also use AIW in the sense of Arabs in War, against one another I have some historical scenarios in preliminary planning for Libya vs Chad, Libya vs Egypt, Yemen vs Egypt, Syria vs Jordan and Jordan vs the PLO.
  18. Sent to both you guys, hopefully SD will be back up soon
  19. It might be interesting to construct a matrix showing what each side called the other.
  20. 1. German; in American English terrain that is labelled "washboard" is a series of ridges - resembling an old fashion washboard that had such raised ridges - what is the German name, either for the terrain feature or the piece of laundry equipment? 2. French; Chars Chaussers, what is the meaning of this in English, "tank hunters" or "hunting tanks"??? 3. A common French term for their adversaries was 'Boche' what term did the German soldiers use to refer to the French? Thanks
  21. Thanks Oren_M got the Yahoo message send that file! Thanks
