  1. "His fault"? How many guys named Veronica do you know? </font>
  2. Well, not really his fault for making that assumption. Hubert gave the units "names" instead of division or squadron numbers.
  3. Well, that was your mistake. Think BB = Battleship task force. Will still have some DD's as screen.
  4. I use Seanachai for chem storage. But then, so have most people. </font>
  5. Progress so far. Existing octagon deck Mmm, more cedar. Measure once, cut twice? Fence side. There will be another section added at about 8" high to cover electrical hookup and hose bib. House side. Loose boards are only there to keep the leaves out. Will be building pull-out steps and using the hidden space for chem storage. It seems to be working… [ September 24, 2007, 11:52 AM: Message edited by: Lars ]
  6. Cat has been found. Next time I'll have to drive it further away...
  7. Standard 5/4 x 6 deck boards. There's your sense of scale, sheesh. For the visually impaired, which would be you, deck measures 11' x 19'
  8. Ok, here we go… View south, post holes going in. Pretty much project start View north, air conditioner has been removed from under my fricken bedroom window. View south, new cedar deck. View north, new cedar deck. View south, deck has been stained, hot tub in place and bubbling. View north, same same. The French door is going in right where the window is in that photo. Thing is huge! And I'll be building a surround and steps around the tub this weekend. I'll post more pics after I find the damn cat.
  9. I'll do anything but wire 240v and dig post holes. It's not that I can't do it, it's just that I don't want to. Besides, somebody has to make the beer run while that's going on.
  10. Deck done and stained, hot tub up, wired in and heating, playing with chemical goo to get the water chemistry right. And today is "Putting in a French Door Day". Have you ever tried to get a 9' glass French door out of the second floor of a building on the side of a frickin' ravine? Literally loads of fun. Not the sort of thing you want to drop. Today should be even better. Get to carry it up another hill. In the rain…
  11. Er, Emry's pic. Price of gas was the first thing that struck me too. Then I started checking my pockets for quarters.
