well seeing how my streek is I rush the flags get all my guys killed, my tanks are burning hulks in memorial to some long forgotten War god and then I have nothing to take anything resembling a flag. or two I hammer them with arty to no end hoping that anything in the area gets some.. but seeing how my streek is going my arty falls on my troops slaughtering every one of them and whats left over get peppered by the laughing opposing force. or three I take a flag with a bloody nose and sit on it and wait for the game to be over.. but knoing my streek at the momment the enemy comes in and slaughters everyone and I end up watching "ALF" re-runs on T.V. mensch -------------- Der Kessel Home of „Die Sturmgruppe“; Scenario Design Group for Combat Mission. hey chup... I get a similer thing.. kinda. I recive a pbem lauch CM fire up the PBEM and all is ok I can move around the map etc.. till I hit the play button.. it plays normaly til something shoots.. and freeze..well ok not realy freeze I can hear the background sounds the battle sounds shooting but the movie is frozen...then *pop* 10 seconds are gone by.. still the same effect.. I wait exactly 5 minutes for the one minute film to be overs.. the "done" button appears I can click it and *zoom* back to normal usage.. I can look around the map give orders.. see the effects from the movie.. ie tanks burning squads wiped out or in retreat..hmmm I'm on a G4/400 with almost a gig of RAM.. I don't know whats going on here the same pbems I take home and fire up on my Power Mac 6500/300 they play normaly and so.. me finks its this crapy ATI graphics card on the new Macs.. damn ATI!! roughly one out of eight PBEMs turn out this way, and its quite anoying. anyone having this freeze problem on G4's?? mensch --------- Der Kessel Home of „Die Sturmgruppe“; Scenario Design Group for Combat Mission. as we all enjoy new mods made by various users (thanks you guys), sometimes installing the mods via resedit for mac users; were all happy and fire up the ol CM to check them out only to find the pink used for transparencies is not transparent.. guh.. the battle field is pink there are pink spots on the tanks.. !!! Egggit! the Pinkies.. well after helping out The DesertFox with some mods he made (hes on a pc ) I found that saving (me finks) the files as BMP files converts the beutiful pink colour from 255,0,255 to 255,1,254... so slaping the sucker into photoshop I selected the pink.. and filed in the proper RGB colour. volla! fixed no more pinkies. yes yes yes.. a tactic I use too.. I'm not saying its gamey since bugging out is normal..
