Thanks for that, I'll post my pics when I get back....provided I don't get 'bogged' -
Later this year, I intend to travel to the battle sites of the Bulge. Has anyone from the UK travelled with Leger, and what was the opinion of the trip, and excursions? I'm drooling already. I showed wife 1.0 and she said 'when are you going?' What a result!!!

You mean those guns aren't dug in...yippee

First class job, BTS....now if you could just sort out a patch for Wife 1.0 to include the "You just go and play Combat Mission, Dear, I'll put the kids to bed ,and make supper" feature. Long live Big Time Software!

I nearly choked this lunchtime...My model shop proprietor, who told me of the CD-ROM, and tamiya's 1/16th scale RC tiger, today told me of plans to produce a kit in stages, at great expense, in METAL , with a petrol 2-stroke engine Hmmm....I wonder what the main gun will fire...30.08 [This message has been edited by Wittmann (edited 01-09-2001).]

I did a search, but felt this hasn't really addressed the problem. I'm playing asl KG Peiper-La Gleize. The scenario allows dug in tanks, and this was my first scenario that allowed this. What justification is there to allow tanks to be permenantly stuck in their dug out....they wouldn't dig a hole and drive over it till they dropped in, requiring a crane to get out! All the dug in tanks I have ever seen have a sort of wedge arrangement so the can be exited in a hurry. I feel this should be rectified, as it's a bit of a realism spoiler. I imagine it would be possible to do the ground work perfectly well with the scenario editor, but would the game give the tank the benefit if the dug in rules? Thanks in advance for your comments Wittmann

My panthers have been on the receiving end of Jeff's light guns :-( and come off badly , so I support the opinion that they aren't ideal for infantry support. In a battle with Blackhorse, my King tigers are a total pain in his ass. They've bounced a few shells without loss (yet)and returned the favour with gift wrapped 88mm. Give me King tigers anyday. Congratulations,BTS, on continuing to provide the first class service other software companies should aspire to. PS...Blighty is 5 hours ahead. Any chance of a sneak preview -
I've actually been in a MG34 equipped Kubelwagen. I was led to believe that the mounting was a standard fitting.

I'm still waiting for a turn from Moriarty, regular email, let alone MSN! All in all,MSN is much faster than mail, and you can dish out ongoing abuse. -
Three cheers for KMan, It has certainly eased my PBEM workload....I'm only a 2 fingered typist, so it's shaved 20 mins off my CM day. Hmmm, just enough time for another go Thanks KMan -Wittmann

My Two Favorite CM Sayings
Wittmann replied to Wild Bill Wilder's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Along with all pre-mentioned profanities, I find it impossible not to duck, when the tank I'm watching from , takes a hit. Of course if my tank is a King tiger, the duck is usually followed by "is that the best you've got...bring it on!......" -
