  1. The airplanes in BB are my favorite weapons, though of course they are only useful for a few turns. I rarely used them in BO. A friend of mine virtually won a game over me simply because his airplanes damaged 95% of my armor in the first few turns of the game!
  2. I am relatively a newcomer to CM. Why is it that my mortars can be in range of a target and have LOS, be targeted, but the dang things never fire. What am I doing wrong?
  3. Thanks. My friend just sent it to me again, and I've got it working now! Let the games begin! ------------------ "I was like in a dream, and completely taken up with war." Myles W. Keogh
  4. A friend sent me the executable file so we can play via TCIP. I saved the file in my CM directory and created a shortcut on the desktop. However, when I click on the shortcut (or the file within the directory), a window opens "Combat Mission Public Beta" which shows the directory address where the file is stored. It gives me choices such as "refresh" and "finish". It says it's extracted the file. But I still can't get the file to execute. Anyone have any ideas what the heck is going on here? ------------------ "I was like in a dream, and completely taken up with war." Myles W. Keogh
  5. Could someone please explain to me (a CM rookie) the true purpose and worth of the flags which mark certain buildings, etc. in CM with a ? until occupied by troops? When playing another person (which I do via email), how important is it to hold these areas? Thanks for your expertise! ------------------ "I was like in a dream, and completely taken up with war." 6. Do any of you send your "moves" via aol Instant Messenger? I saw one fellow's post who does so via ICQ. What is the advantage of doing this versus regular email? Thanks. ------------------ "I was like in a dream, and completely taken up with war." Myles W. Keogh
