  1. Your zimmerit covered tiger gets taken out by a magnetic mine!
  2. And just repeated the test with sdkfz 7/1, they did engage and fire, but got no kills, however being vehicle mounted they must have a larger profile, as the planes killed them all in 3 passes!
  3. I just did a test with 5 quad 20's and 5 late IL2 ground attack......the result, all 5 planes decked for the loss of one quaddy....the gunners AI did a great job switching from ruining a platoon's day to the attacking planes.
  4. I opened with the rockets at the far end of the map, and didn't advance until they'd fallen. The tanks moved , one down the middle, and one to the right flank. This one nailed both T34's. The left Pz IV provided support to the assault going in, and allowed the Russians to rout, driven further once the left flank recon group arrived. When the first re-enforcements, I brought up flamethrowers, well supported by infantry, and torched the buildings between the factory units....all that was left was the mopping up. Was it fun.....Hell, yeah!
  5. Courtesy of my gaming buddy, Moriarty, I now have CMBB. I am not worthy. I thank Moriarty from the bottom of my heart/stomach/other squishy organ that will see the light of day for his trouble, and will now accept challenges on any scenario, any side any player, provided that they agree to die by my hand quickly and noisily as possible. All hail Fed-ex
  6. As far as I know, all tank rounds are tracer!
  7. Each time one of you calls out 'I'VE GOT IT!!!!' I just sit here and curse the UK release date being put back to Oct 4th......Bugger I feel like a rottweiller being held back from a particular tasty criminal! Enjoy guys
  8. The Physics majors can help out here, but momentum before and after collision are the same. Assuming all energy is converted in the impact, it seems unlikley that a 30 pound shell at 2000 feet per second could bodily move a 15 to 20 ton turret. The explosive effect of a brew up seems much more likely. I'm not sure of the firewall layout of a T34 but I suspect it would be similar to a sherman, and we all know what fun Jerry had with those!
  9. Remy Matin ***** VSOP (5 star very special old pale) Starting price 35 quid a bottle
  10. 30 year old Glen Morangie (spelling?) Theakston's Old Peculiar Shepherd's Neam Spitfire (I think) Laphroaig (once the taste buds are numb) Beecham's resolve and a pint of water Full fry up for breakfast. Repeat the above
  11. I'm working on a Quake quad damage power up, for when the jagdie gets really pissed off
  12. Intelligent: one possesing intelligence, clever person, learned individual. Anyone care to offer English lessons?
  13. Glad you all had a great time, and thanks for posting the pics. Count me in on the next one (location permitting) I'll avoid the obvious opportunity to work Madmatt, but that pic of him on a Challenger grinning is worthy of a caption contest. Here's my entry Have you seen the size of my weapon?

  17. Behold , I bring tidings of great joy....Creative have officially released 27.5 drivers and CM:BO now behaves perfectly. Hurrah! (Nvidia have yet to release the reference set for other manufacturers)
  18. Could this be the unwelcome return of Gunnybunny? Please lock this thread, and ban the fool abusing this forum. Thank you kindly, Madmatt
  19. Thanks for the Info, Madmatt. Now, if you could have a word with the Big Red Guy, to drop CMBB down my chimney on the 24th, it would be greatly appreciated. Have a great Christmas  Damn my spelling! [ 12-21-2001: Message edited by: Wittmann ]</p>
  20. Since CM2 is using the CM 1 engine will this feature work in CMBO....I hope so, because even with CM2 on my HDD, I ain't finished with CM1 yet
  21. Point taken....unless you are plotting air strikes, which would ruin your day if you're close together
  22. I think the best way to avoid the concentrated troops getting creamed by Arty, is for a gentlemans agreement not to use it for, say, 3 minutes. It will only work if you trust your opponent, but Fionn's 75/76 rules were well accepted in some quarters, so 'gentlemen' DO exist.
