WWII TV Show--Could It Be Done?

The bastards at Encore Action channel took Combat off the air here in America. I saw every episode more than 10 times, but the show never got old. -

Completley modeled interiors with chairs, clocks, bathrooms, beds, and a kitchen sink instead of that bleak gray interior. I'd also like some curtains over the windows and some nice wallpaper to dress it up a bit. -
Barbedwire... whats up with this??
ntg84 replied to mensch's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Come on, how hard is it for 12 engineers to walk through and systematically cut wire up. I've strung a little bit of barbed wire and I didn't cut my self too bad, so taking it down cant be much worse. Some clippers and explosives and you are through. -

>>Sorry, nobody here knows from 'reality TV". Too busy playing CM all the time<< I like the Mole, thats a great show. And Survivor 2 is going to be good. But I take time away from CM to watch reallity TV. [This message has been edited by ntg84 (edited 01-31-2001).] -
Ok first, if I had 3 Kubels or Jeeps about 4-6 feet apart (which is ideal traffic spacing, half of one car length) and told them to drive fast, straight ahead, one would crash into another for some reason. I know for a fact that you could break in those vehicles much faster than a HT. So why does the AI fail to break? Is it programmed to break when it gets to close? Secondly, dont be messing with Indiana. I'm a proud Hoosier from the armpit of the state, Hammond. So watch what you say about God's state.
-
Where did the drivers in CM learn to drive? Did the DMV just flag them through? My drivers are allways crashing into one another becasue it seems none of the vehicles have breaks. I've had a couple attacks go bad becasue vehilces get caught up on one another. So why does the AI not know how to break and slow down as to not crash into another vehicle?

Osprey makes books on Tanks. They go for about 13 dollars each. They have nice information and pictures and are in alot of people's budget. Schiffer publishing has many tank books as well as books on many other WW2 vehicles and infantry units for around 10 dollars each, but of course there are more expensive ones.

My planes seemed to like targeting my only two tanks left on the map instead of the 4 german PzIV's oh well

quote:
Originally posted by Mr. Clark: We should make some WAV files for CM from the DVD! What would that require? I have no idea how to go about doing it...

There is some in the Game, I think I've heard Upham, the wimp, at the end when he was speaking German to the Germans, telling them to surrender. It's a German sound effect in the game if it's the one i heard. -

What up -
Right Intel, I was driving the Jumbo back to the rear once it lost it's gun in hopes that it might be around all better in the next battle. The crew was in tact. So that eliminates everything Kingfish said except C. But how long does it take to change a gun barrel? If it was threaded on couldn't you just unscrew it and put it back on? And repair shops weren't that far behind the armor.
-
But is there a possibility of getting the tanks back that had the damaged gun and became abandoned?
-
I've been playing Drive To Mortain, probably the best Operation in CM (in my opinion, as the Americans. My Jumbo took a hit to the gun, my 76 Sherm took a hit to the gun, and 2 other M4A3's took hits to the gun (but the 76 and one M4A3 got knocked out). So the next battle rolls around and I'm short the Jumbo and the M4A3, they were abandoned becasue of a hit to the gun. Now my question, why can't the superior American tank mechanics change out a gun barrel for a 75mm? How long does it take to swap them out? But I'm assuming just the barrel got mangled, but if its the breech how come they cant change a breech out? Maybe not the next battle, but the one after it?

Fed up with Ubertank battles!

Since when is a Hetzer an Ubertank? -
Can you tell me more about yourself or someone else tell me about him and who he is?
-
Who is Scott Adams? I've never heard of any games by him. But then again I'm only 16 so was that stuff before my time?

Colonel Dick and and Narshe from the UK serries were the best people ever to be on. Man was Narshe good at welding. Where does the American version take place?

Did a Jap tank ever knock out another tank in tank to tank warfare?
