  1. E-mail sent to Yacinator. A second e-mail has been sent to Sgian Dubh. If I do not hear from him by this saturday evening (4/16) then we will bring in a replacement. We hate to replace anyone, and we hope we don't have to in either case here.
  2. Been playing this game 4+ years now, and to date I've yet to see a round miss a target and hit someone else. I've seen plenty of rounds miss and hit something else, but never another unit. I've also never seen a ricochet hit anything after bouncing off the intended target. They always just fly off into space.
  3. My personal preference is the US 60mm. Good range, portability and ammo load all in one package. I use them to bounce enemy MG and gun units out of trenches, and usually have enough left over for a second target. For the larger mortars the CW 3" is hard to beat, although I make it a point to use them in a realistic fashion, therby cutting down on their flexibility.
  4. Deadline for both games and AARs is June. I can't calculate the total scores and announce the finalists without first factoring in the AAR bonus.
  5. No, have the doctor issue you a new prescription, this time for one twice as strong The finals will be here soon
  6. Try Acepilot88(at)yahoo.com If you still have problems send it to me
  7. This May be of use to you. If not, at least drop the guys there a note and see what they suggest.
  8. Just ran 2 similar test with T34s. The first had 5 85s in 2 platoons, test #2 had the 76s, again in 2 platoons. In both tests the experience levels were regular, and both groups were placed atop a hill facing a gap in a tree line 900 meters away. All tanks were setup hull down to the gap. On the German side a single Panther was ordered to hunt thru the tree gap. In test #1 the 85s stood their ground and blasted away at the Panther. The only tank to retrest was the one which the Panther locked onto. By T-2 the Panther was KO'd, so I ended the test. Test #2 showed the same results, with the 76s staying in place and bouncing shot after shot off the Panther. Again the only tank to retreat were the ones the Panther locked onto to. After 2 dead 76s I aborted the test. I then reloaded test #2, but this time I bunched the 76s close together, hull down to the gap, and then sent the Panther thru. All the 76s got off one shot, but then all retreated once the Panther turned and locked onto one of the group. I'm not sure if this is significant. Perhaps more tests are required. Anyway, to answer your question Beavis about what the T34s should do after retreating, I played Jagermeister this morning against the axis AI. The IS-2s retreated once the caught sight of the cats, but when ordered back in they popped shots off, again retreating only when the cats would turn towards them. I bagged 3 Tigers, 4 Panthers and 3 guns for the loss of 3 IS-2s and a SU-122.
  9. Here's the funny thing about this thread - BFC could go in and change the code so that the T34s would stand their ground, and within a day this board would be flooded with "T34s staying and dying..."
  10. Open the map in the 3D preview screen, click on the flag and move / place like any other unit.
  11. So, what your saying is that the proper response by the IS-2 is to stand its ground? I guess it means nothing that in the time the IS-2 gets a shot off, reloads, and shoots again those 5 Pz IV longs would have unloaded 20+ shots on him, each one capable of penetrating his armor.
  12. Your best bet is to post in the tech forum

  14. You sure you aren't referring to the Centurion instead? The Challenger saw service as early as the Normandy campaign.
  15. Depends on which tank you actually had. Both the Challenger and Comet are available in CMBO.
  16. I'm just about finished with my last game. Can I be on the reserve list and play Mr. Sgian's games for him? Must . . .kill. . . .Flensers . . . pretty please? </font>
  17. I picked a fine day to stop sniffing glue OK, it is time to don my "Captain turn rate" costume - the one with the cool blue cape and tights that show off my manhood like the God that I am - and see what is up with El Sgian Dubh-0.
  18. ...faints from reading a second player is also only on turn 2...
  19. Turn 2!!!! No, that has to be a typo. You forgot to include an extra didget and meant to type turn 22, right? Please don't tell me you are only on T-2
  20. I think so, but forgot to include it in the mix. If you can please resend, but not as the AAR file. Just give me the raw score and what scenario, and CC your opponent.

  22. The IS-2, while a decent tank, has a very slow ROF and slow turret. It also has a tendency of backing away from Tigers, even if it has numbers on its side. The T34 (I am assuming the 76 version) have a 2-man turret and weak gun. On the other hand, the Tiger is more than capable of taking on any of his tanks. The Stugs require a little more care in getting them into the fight, but again are up to the task.
  23. Depends on the parameters of the QB. Is it an allied attack? Are you spending most of your points on expensive tanks? The Russian tanks are generally cheaper than the Germans, but then again most German AFVs are better than most Russian.
  24. Don't use either, use advance instead. It is a bit slower than run, but you get an added cover bonus. A unit using the advance command will alternate short sprints and dropping to cover (although the graphic only shows them running).
  25. Keep in mind that the real life Marder didn't have to deal with an opponent that benefitted from borg spotting. The CM T34/76s are far more responsive to a threat than the one in real life were.
