  1. I did one for Stanleyville, which is a medium-sized city in the Congo. Look for 'Dragon Rouge' at the proving grounds. Another one to d/l is Michael Dorosh's 'Little Stalingrad', which has a nice representation of the city of Ortana.
  2. No, our side did not win Incidentally, you know what the Vietnamese call the war? The America War, go figure... </font>

  4. Add to that the PT/76, which as MD pointed out helped overrun Lang Vei. There were a few, but almost all were ARVN vs NVA. The incursion into Laos featured a few battalion-sized battles with armor. Then of course there were numerous engagaments during the NVA's Easter offensive. I do know of one encounter between an American and NVA tank. A M48 took out a NVA tank which had been parked next to a river and the crew was washing it . Granted, not your typical CM armor duel, but hey, at least our side won.

  6. This is the final update for the regular tourney, and it really is more of a call to those who still have games in progress to do all you can to finish by the deadline. As it stands now, we are down to 8 games out of 180. That is quite an accomplishment considering where we were a month ago . That said, we shouldn't slack off in these last few days. You have one full weekend and a day to burn thru your final turns, so please make the most of it. Here are the final matchups that I do not have scores for: (Wet triangle) Diesel Taylor vs Foxhole Rob (Push to Maleme) Peter K vs Treeburst 155 (Highlanders in Hell) PeterK vs a1 Steaks Stoneage vs The Enigma PanzerTwat vs Raketenpanzerbuchse (St. Ed's) Ankulin vs Raketenpanzerbuchse (Moltke) PeterK vs Capt T Jeff Wilder vs Tabpub
  7. Yes, within minutes of receiving it, and to both addresses you gave me. JPS, are you reading this?
  8. Ted, I haven't heard from either one, but I do see DT popping in here and at the Annex every now and again. I'll drop them both a line. Jon, I'm not sure if Ace has a deadline for AARs, but keep in mind that we can't launch the next round until we have all AARs in and bonuses applied. I would say (barring any deadline from Ace) a one week extension past the regular tourney deadline, so say June 14th.
  9. 8 days to go. As soon as I get the last one in. 16 games still in progress. 1 for Triangle 4 for Push 3 for Highlanders 6 for St. Ed's 2 for Moltke Everyone, check the results tab over at the ROW page to see your status. A red square means I have not received a score for that game. If you are sure you finished then send me the results.
  10. A turretless AFV, once dug-in, is forever locked in that facing. It loses its rotate command. I just ran a small test to see if it had to do with the size of the arc. Started out with one Wespe and StuG were dug-in. I first gave the StuG a CA of about 30 meters distance, starting 45 degrees from its left front fender and arcing to 45 degrees off its right. CA immediately disappeared when I hit Go. Them tried with armor-only arc. Same parameters, same results. Next I doubled the distance to about 55-60 meters, but instead of 45 degrees I lined it up with the left hand tracks, so the corner of the arc is no farther out than the left side of the vehicle. I swung the arc over and accepted the smallest default width the computer gave me. Result - covered arc stayed throughout the game, both regular and armor-only. I tried the same with the Wespe, but could not get it to keep an arc no matter how far, near, wide or narrow I drew it. Therefore, when a vehicle is dug-in the arc is limited to the traverse of the gun. This renders turretless AFVs useless to all but the smallest keyholes. You'd be better off placing an AT gun in a trench.
  11. Try the test again, but this time give the StuG as narrow an arc as possible. The StuG's gun had a traverse of only 25 degrees (not sure if that is from center or full traverse), and just maybe your arc was much bigger than the gun could cover. Just a guess.
  12. All AARs should go directly to Ace pilot. His address is acepilot88(at)yahoo.com
  13. Normally I would agree with you, as historical data bears this out, but in doing some research I came across this map, which shows the movements of the 352nd Div on D-day. Note the movement of the reserve KG, which starts off SE of Bayeux. A ballpark estimate shows them moving 30 km west, then the same distance east again, all in one day. That's seems a bit too much for a marching column.
  14. This unit defended the Omaha beach sector and western part of Gold Beach. In addition, it created a Kampfgruppe that consisted of its 915th Regiment and Fusilier battalion. This KG was to be a reserve for LXXXIV Corp. Was this Kampfgruppe motorised (not the same as motorised infantry)? I know the 1st Company of the Fusiliers were bicycle mounted, what about the others?
  15. Update time again. Cpl Carrot is at it again. Click on the following link to see the status of each player and the tourney as a whole: ROW V Player Status Page As you can we still have a few red squares, so there is work to be done. As soon as I get all the scores in Cpl Carrot will open up the tournament results page. There you will see all the scores, max and min, as well as scenario averages and standard deviations. Note that the scores shown are all pre-AAR bonus, so get working on them!
  16. Considering the amount of work we have for him, do you really want to?
  17. Brecourt Manor is what you want to look for.
  18. Please e-mail me asap. We need your help with AARs. Address is in my profile.
  19. A simple and effective method is to get in touch with a designer who has a scenario that needs testing and hasn't released it to the public. He can then start the scenario for you using your own pre-chosen passwords or one he choses. This is the same method used in the ROW tournament, and all the scenarios are secure.
  20. Send me all 3 and I'll post them at the depot for you. Make sure to include any info you want added to the parameters, comment section, etc.
  21. After you are done with your AAR ask yourself two questions: Does it give a good description of the scenario and how it played out? Does it provide the scenario designer with useful feedback? If you answer yes to both then you have yourself a full credit AAR.
  22. The remains of a Syrian truck somewhere on the Golan?
  23. Send me the scenario in question. I'll take a look at it. Address is in my profile.
  24. Can you narrow it down somewhat? Normandy? Market-Garden?
