One of the Ops that came with the CD features a squad armed with a Panzerfaust 30K, while another from the same platoon has a regular PF 30. A typo or different weapon altogether?

Width of Don River--Akimovsky Bridge
Kingfish replied to OGF Keller's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Nyet! The large city you see in that map is actually Azov. To see Rostov you need to shift one tile to the East: Map of Rostov I find this site helpful in translating the Cyrillic letters to it's Roman equivalent: Cyrillic translator -
The pioneer platoons in June 41 consisted of 1 HQ, 9 squads and depending on what division type, 1 or 2 of the 6-man LMG teams (the pioneers for the Security divisions also get 2 flamethrower teams). Fast forward one year and the number of squads drops from 9 to 3, but again depending on the division type you could also get as many as 3 LMG teams, a 60mm mortar and PTRD AT team.

The Tiger..Pointless to produce??
Kingfish replied to KG ThorsHammer's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
A good reason for the success of the Tiger in CMBB (or lack of in CMBO) is the kind of oppostion it met in each theater. At the time it was introduced there were few Allied tanks able to take it out. By the time of CMBO the shock of the Tiger had already worn off, and the allies were fielding the 17 pdr and 76mm w/ 'T' rounds in decent numbers. -
Importing units to new scenario
Kingfish replied to Kingfish's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
So, lets say I wanted to start a new scenario with a bunch of dead vehicles on a road, say from the aftermath of an ambush. I could create a 1 or 2 turn scenario on a tiny map, have the ambush play out, then save the AAR file, import the old scenario to the new and build the new map from there. Is that possible? -
Question: I know you can import a map that has been previously played on to a new scenario, and have all the damage show up, but does that also include destroyed vehicles?

A different way to view VL flags in CM3?
Kingfish replied to Bartokomus's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
But it shows up as neutral to your opponent. And guess what? Thats how it actually works. If I was your opponent in this game I would see a neutral flag, even if you had an entire rifle division hiding in the factory. Only when that rifle division revealed itself would the flag change. -

Meyers decision scenarios
Kingfish replied to Panzer Ace's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I just checked the depot and all 3 scenarios were there. Are you sure you clicked on the CMBO section? E-mail me if you are having problems getting them. I have Meyer #2 & #3. -
Bump-o-rama! And a friendly reminder that several of the SP scenarios are now listed at the depot.

CMBO: Scenario Bug: polish airborn at arnhem
Kingfish replied to markshot's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
Polish airborne at Arnhem features assault boats, which the AI cannot control. You can only play as the allies against the AI, or as 2 player. This is true for all scenarios which feature assault boats. -
Uhm, what was the reasoning behind not implementing this? It seems to me that once one side "owns" a victory flag, it ought to continue to possess it until the other side takes it away. I hate having to leave little half-squads, crews, anti-tank teams, whatever, well behind my main force solely to maintain control of a flag that the other side has no chance of getting.</font>

Guys, I'll start a RD tourney thread in the scenario section once everyone has finished their first game. At that point FOW will no longer an issue and you can then discuss the scenario in detail, as well as offer feedback, AARs or suggestions on the other scenarios we are working on. If you have any specific questions you can contact me at Boots and Tracks.

rune was actually going to release a third scenario, but I talked him out of it. It was waaaaay too unbalanced. Besides, who wants to play a scenario based on the army-navy game...
