  1. Valael, Battlefront has great shipping. I live in Mississippi, and I got my copy in 3 days. By the way, if you never played CMBO, get the bundle pack. CMBO is a good way to ease yourself into the system in an more forgiving environment. Plus, it's a great game too. CMBB is better, but more brutal and unforgiving. I think you'll find this community to be very close knit and welcoming, unless you stumble into the Peng Thread , and we'll always be willing to lend a hand to anyone who needs it. Hope to have you aboard!
  2. Interesting stuff there on the Romanian army. They fought in some really bloody battles. It's a shame so few people know about it.
  3. I've recently begun to become interested in learning more about the combat role of Germany's Axis allies in the war. I already know a fair bit about Finnish forces, and I believe I would be correct in stating they were the most resilient of the bunch. But I know next to nothing of Germany's other allies, Romania, Hungary, and Italy(well, on the eastern front) and their performance on the Eastern front, other than their role in Operation Uranus. How well equipped and trained were these guys? What other major actions did they take part in? Which nation was regarded as having the most reliable formations? Any information about this, even trivial facts, would be welcome.
  4. Great name. Kyuss was a great band. Both games are excellent, but play CMBO first, because once you start on CMBB, it's hard to go back.(If you're a realism freak like me) [ December 14, 2002, 12:21 PM: Message edited by: Partisan Chief. ]
  5. I saw it in newstands, and can indeed confirm PC Gamer gave CMBB 90% and an Editor's choice award.
  6. I actually have used FTs with success in the assualt. A morning at the zoo and Hill 312 come to mind. My FT at Hill 312 deserved a medal, because he fried half the Russian defensive positions, and drove the Russkis out of the trenches to be cut down by my MGs. That was a nice moment. Still, they're hard to use, no arguement there.
  7. Some other time, perhaps. I love urban fights, but the Statlingrad pack has filled my craving for them. Let's see a something like the "Blitzkrieg pack", with all 1941 battles. That gives them a nice variety of battles to choose from. Of course, that's just what I want to see them make. There must be others interested in the early war, though. Right? 8. I've already gotten plenty of information, mostly from books. I just figured there might be a few web pages out there worth visiting. Thanks for your help everyone.
  9. Actually, could anyone here tell me some good webpages about the OstFront? I'm writing a paper about it for one of my history classes. I thought you fellas might know a few sites that are interesting.
  10. Tanks don't brew up from infantry anti-tank hits as often as from regular AP rounds, but a flank shot from a panzefaust will usually brew em up.
