I don't see anything about acpi listed in my Bios, but I can set individual PCI slots to have certain IRQs. How that helps with AGP card.. I dunno.. but yeah. PeterNZ

Everything is on IRQ 5. The raid and card and sound card were on 11, but moving the sound card meant they all went to 5 along with the USB controllers. I find it all quite strange. Peter

hi there folks. something very odd is going on. Got a new PC, asus MB, AMD Athalon XP 1800 etc etc. Gainward Ge Fo 3 64mb and every time i try to install the drivers fro the vid card, no matter which set, it goes ok until after i restart. then it displays the usual desktop for three seconds till my screen becomes a mess of colors. No cause or noticeable reason. XP says the vid card is causing it. I am completely lost! Can't see any reason why?! helpp PeterNZ

O i seee.. that problem. Saw it discussed a while ago and forgot about it Yeah, you're right, it's not ISP or system, it's just bad luck. To be honest I've never had it happen myself and i've played a couple of dozen TCP/IP games. I'd say, just work on taking no prisoners =) (make sure you use reg or vet or better troops. Set both players to vet and you'll have few troops surrender) or use the PBEM workaround. Sorry to have jumped to conclusions PeterNZ

Not sure what the problem is but I would say it must be with your system and not the software. You've patched up to the latest version (1.12?).. tried it on other PCs? Other ISPs? My ISP doesn't allow me to host games. I am sure there are other tales out there. As such, BTS can't be held responsible for errors in your system/ISP. PeterNZ

Don't tell the Russians they are in Asia, they don't like it And I think the boxed version will go to a wider and more varried market than the freaks we see on this forum.
