Wesreidau replied to Captain Wacky's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)

So WHERE is the game? C`mon BTS, where is it? No, I mean, i`m serious here, where...oh bugger it, back to CMBO -

Hi, does anyone know how I can solve this: I copied over my CMBO folder from one drive to another (the new drive being on ym new PC with a GeForce 3 Ti200) The game works GREAT, no probs with the GeForce, but I have probs with video refresh rate, its kills my eyes to play CM for more than few mins. I have my video refresh set to 85Mhz in the windows desktop..

At Guru3D`s site there are some new 3dfx drivers released on 11/20/01. I currently pack a Voodoo 5 5500, and have always had problems with CMBO running in anything other than single chip mode. This effectively means I`m only using 32mb video memory rather than the 64mb on the card...bahh! Anyhoo, I`ve tried many different driver versions etc but NOT these new ones. Has anyone else out there tried them? TIA Mark

Has Anybody Had Success Using The AVRE?
Wesreidau replied to Col Deadmarsh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I loved it in Close Combat 2. Once took out two panthers with it as it lobbed a shell between a building, down a gap and landed it right between two closely packed tank. That's my only good memory of the bloody thing Peter -
Book Recommendations......for the East Front?
Wesreidau replied to Randl's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Another voice in favor of "In deadly combat" here. My favourite personal memoire of the eastern front from a German point of view (if you can find one from a Russian point of view that isn't propoganda you've struck gold I understand). The story of this guys fight is amazing. At first he writes brusquely and doesn't seem to want to dwel on things much. As he goes along though, his writing style changes and he gets more involved, more detailed.. it's quite stirring and terrifying stuff in a lot of places. PeterNZ -
17th huh, you ugly monkey man. I think i can attend. That be a saturday huh? Your place is it? (somewhere near france if i recall correctly) Peter

I'm in San Fran now. escaped LA (ho ho). And stinky boring dull horrible Irvine. The white-business-shirt-clad armpit of the US. Now I'm in San Fran which seems to be the hippy-dressed armpit of the US hehe It seems San Fran (while interesting) is living proof you shouldn't let hippies concentrate in one area and mate. There are SO many freaks around here. Peng and Elvis would fit right in. Peter

Hi there Kids, I'm in Irvine, CA right now. It's a bit stink really. Like what's left if you run three freeways into each other and sprinkle hotels, gas stations and jack in the boxes liberally in the gaps. Anyway, If any of you are in LA (mark IV!) and are bored on like, wed or thur or fri evening, consider coming down here and enjoying the scenic gas stations and burger joints. Saturday I fly to San Fran for fun and frolicks. Anyone in San Fran? Anyway, email me, dynamo@pobox.com if you have any seductive offers. PeterNZ

Wesreidau replied to Dr.Juzzy's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Best thing about the place is it's 5 min walk from my place! But andy doesn't like crossing the river, he's scared of water or somefink. PeterNZ
