  2. In just a little more time my pretty, only "THE THREAD" will occupy the first page, hehe
  3. To not have snow falling in the air, turn off weather with hot keys. It still affects the LOS as if it were there, but you won't see the falling snow. In winter I do not think the effect on LOS is dramatic [This message has been edited by jdmorse (edited 10-10-2000).]
  4. JEager: make sure you have the high res smoke graphics on. If it's "fast and compatabile" they don't show the same. Also, the big "brew-up" explosions only happen when ammo in AFV cooks off w/ cataclysmic explosion, only every now and again. Also some people seem to have problems w/ Voodoo draivers/cards. What sort of system are you using?
  5. Yes Peter has one of those "special" relationships, that which canna be spoke aloud ------------------ "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting" - Sun Tzu
  6. should be on it's way to you, let me know if you got it. ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  7. perhaps some kind soul can send the bmp's to you. If they don't email me and I'll extract them from my mac graphic resources and send them to you.
  8. Great reward can be yours but take the time to get down on the ground and "walk" where you want to send your armor. You'd be surprised how much cover can be missed from Level 3 and even 2 in viewing the terrain. Many times you can appear in one place shoot and scoot to another taking advantage of the terrain and the opponet never sees you doing it. But ya got to go over the ground several times, and think through your movement
  9. The winter Hetzer is contained within the MadDog #1 pack. The JagdPanther is under the 3rd party mods on CMHQ, winter german vehicles
  10. I seem to remember that some one advised move/run up to outside of building but use sneak to enter it as a more effective way than just running in
  11. of course hope the tank stays still. Sent a squad orders to use satchel charges to take out tank only 20m away. Turn starts only to find the tank got orders to back up also. So my guys come barrelling out of the woods and skid to a stop, sort of keystone cops like, looking for that pesky wabbit...er tank....... Uhhh sarge (tapping him on the shoulder) Quiet Kowlaski, that tank is supposed to be here, our orders, say so, Uhh sarge, look behind you Boom, brrrratttt etc. Run like hell dang nab it ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86 [This message has been edited by jdmorse (edited 10-03-2000).]
  12. nah, just some good ole boys sittin round the cast iron stove, whittlin and jawing
  13. Four Stringer, Welcome to this forum. If you are here because of CM, cool. If you like CC also, great, but I suggest that we let this topic die. If you want to see why, use the search function. You will find a lot of non productive talk, sometimes totally disintgrating into flames. CC and CM are different games, with different strenghts and weaknesses. To ask about likes is non productive as it is totally subjective. BTS has shared their view consistently. That your friend is not playing CC as much suggests that there is substance in CM, at least for your friend. But not necessarily for you. Your question is more proper on the CC forum. Many people here like both. Some don't, taste differ. So if you are here as someone interested in CM again welcome, it's a great gaqme. If you are here as an apologist for CC, best to let this go and not be seen as a troll. I am sorry if my tone causes some confusion but the CC/CM history has produced some problems, thus my suggestion to use search and you can judge. Otherwise, let's let this one go.
  14. No there is not. You can use the + - keys to cycle through the units. Also I find that taking away the trees (see hotkeys-shift T on Mac) and bumping units up in size (shft c) allows me to quickly find such units- I go to level 2-3 and fly the board. Also if the FO's are in the midst of a firemission, cycling through show movement/targets (shift p) also helps locate them as well. ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  15. pdf works best for me as I can print it out in a correctly formatted form. The html causes sizing problems and I need to play around with it as well as track down each page
  16. Believe me bro, we feel your pain , been there lourselves, but it WILL get better. Just hang in there ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  17. Correction on the numbers, the winter mods are 10,000 plus numbers, so a hypothetical 408 bmp's winter version would be 10408, not 1408. While the new bmp's overwrite the old, the orig's are of course available on the orig CD. I always keep original copy of mods that I DL'd so that if I do not like changes or feel like changing I can do so and revert if I need to ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  18. There is a save game, the hot key button on the main screen as well as keyboard command (command-S on a Mac) There also is a "hide game" feature, (esc on the Mac, your keys may vary for PC) that makes the game disappear [handy to listen to your wifes incessant requests for doing something other than that "stupid game" ] Then just click on game again and voila there you are. ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  19. There have been a number of infantry unif mods. On the Allied side it's easy, but there have been a number of German, mainly Waffen SS variations. For the non grognard It is a bit confusing. Sure it's always what appeals to your eye, but what about relative historical usage. Can anyone sort of detail the dfferences we are seeing, are they historical or simply fanciful. Esp w/ the recent Waffen/Fild Grey uniforms. How do they fit in, for that matter how do the others.
  20. Quick answer, no easy way. It's being looked at and there is some talk about roundabout ways to convert wav files to sound resource. ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  21. I found some issues (ie porple areas) in the space between the tread and front and rear road wheels on the following: DesertFox Tiger 314 HiRes Tiger (and two earlier versions) II have made corrections to color. Prob is in the satuaration % of magenta.Needs to be 100%. I do not know if it is my set up (iMac DV SE) or someting about the transmission. [This message has been edited by jdmorse (edited 09-23-2000).]
  22. DL'd the new winter jumpsuit uniforms, used both Mac CM Mod manager and MacMod to convert to iMac. However, after installation, the original german winter uniforms (prev available) are still showing up. Graphics 13 shows they have been installed. So anyone have any ideas? Wondered if the other winter ones were installed somewhere else and are picked up first? ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
  23. Okay has anyone done a winter Jagdpanther? I mean everythig else is pretty well covered but MDMP-1's Camo version tends to REALLY stand out in the snow. If they haven't could someone russle one up? ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86 [This message has been edited by jdmorse (edited 09-22-2000).]
  24. Way to go guys, my congratulations, now get to work ------------------ "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" -- King Henry VI, Part II, Act 4, sc.2, l.86
