  1. My butt just got saved in a CMBB Operation when the 20+ turn battle #1 ended right at turn 20. Whew!
  2. Don't forget that graphically, infantry units are highly abstracted. Perhaps the grenadier w/the grenade bundle had crawled in close (closer than 40m), and as his squad mates were geting pulverized, he took out the tank. Game on.
  3. I've got a PIII 700mhz w/256MB of RAM and a 64MB NVidia GeForce 3 card. I don't have any problems running CMBB; HUGE battles sometimes take a bit of time to load though. If you have a decent vid card, and get a bit more RAM, CMAK will probably run fine on your machine. I also keep my system pretty clean, so my system resources aren't hogged by unused programs running in the background.
  4. I'd also llke a copy. PDF format would be great if possible. manderson@fenderusa.com Thanks in advance. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
  5. I live in Arizona, so I won't be attending , but hats off to you and the other beta-types for extending the invitation.

  7. "The pack might be released as early as October 3." Schweeeeeeeeeeeeeet! My birthday is the 2nd. Nice b-day present methinks.
  8. That hasn't happened to me (yet), but the stories on the link are pretty interesting. I did have a M7 knock itself out in CMBO while blasing away point blank at some infantry though.
  9. I'd be pleased if all vehicles (and terrain types) were included in CMAK so that they could, as you say, recreate CMBO w/the CMBB "engine." However, I wouldn't be terribly disapointed if they didn't, as I still qutie enjoy playing CMBO.
  10. In no particular order: Medieval Total War (haven't got the Viking Expansion bit yet) Shogun Total War IL-2 (the original . . . I'm cheap and bass strings are $15/set) Icewind Dale II Baldur's Gate II (doing it again w/an evil party) TacOps Ghost Recon Motocross Madness 2
  11. Thanks for the welome all! redwolf, I appreciate the heads up on the reveiw. Interesting perspective. Well, now I'm off to stare at the mailbox and wait for the delivery.
  12. Well, I just took the plunge and ordered TacOps 4 ($25 is relatively cheap, but the time spent playing will cost me w/the wife). I've been a long time CM player and always meant to check out TacOps. I finally downloaded the demo Monday evening, buzzed through the tutorial and was hooked. I can't wait for the full version to arrive. Once I'm done dealing w/the AI, I'm sure I'll be getting whooped on by y'all (and hopefully dealing out a bit myself). Cheers!
  13. Just downloaded it. It looks great!!! Thanks for all the hard work. p.s. Who is Steve Jobs? p.p.s. I thought it was Bill Gates who required all the animal sacrifice.
  14. Looks great! I can't wait to download it. What's a Mac?
  15. Thanks! I'd nosed around a bit @ download.com, but didn't know which one would be good.
