  1. Has the new ATS Tobruk and all the expansion packs (as well as all the other ATS games)....they are awesome (for those who occassionally want a break from the computer doing most of the work for you).
  2. What an excellent contribution.....thanks to all involved!!!! A general question though......some of the battles are huge, and my computer is a wee bit slow trying to deal with them (Pentium III, 32 mb video card, 128 mb RAM).....what would be most to my advantage, doubling RAM to 256 or a 64 mb video card? As all my programs work fine with the existing video card, i am really more interested in knowing the consequences of doubling my RAM.
  3. Excellent point, as there were many. However, from what i can tell, most looked like men anyway, so i guess it doesnt make much sense to model them. If they looked like Petra Verkaik, however, that would be a different story.
  4. Agree with the Civil War proposal.....would make Sid Meyer's Civil War games look even worse than they already are.
  5. With regrets, my computer does not have enough memory to play this operation......i am sure it is a grand one too.
  6. Always wanted to see a real topographic map for each scenerio........difficult reading the terrain from plan view.
  7. I am sure this has been asked before, but will there be an upgrade of CMBO to include all the new features developed for CMBB?
  8. I think CMBO set the standard for all wargames in the industry, and because of that, it has it's place forever. I have just touched the surface of CMBB....and it is AWESOME!!! We don't have to forget CMBO, and we can continue to play it. But, you will be really missing out if you dont play CMBB. Just my opinion. [ September 22, 2002, 09:18 AM: Message edited by: T34Rules ]
  9. Hopefully not a day before it is completely tested and ready to be distributed. Patience is a virtue.
  10. The music must be dictated by the nature of the intro movie. If the intro movie begins with June 22, the music must be of German nature (i.e., german march music or even the foot-stomping theme sung by the german tankers in the movie "Patton"). As the tide of the war turns (again, if this is depicted in the intro movie), the music should change to a clearly russian theme (perhaps the national anthem as a suggestion). In any event, the last frames of the movie intro must show the famous scene of the russian flag being raised over Berlin. One furthr note on the russian music score, if the intro movie shows scenes of Stalingrad, or of the first russian winter offensive, i would suggest Tchaikovsky's "Winter Dreams" as the background music.
  11. As a personal observation, the WWII gaming community really seems to favour the Eastern Front, myself included. Not quite sure of why this is, but it does appear to be a fact. However, i think there are many who will always be interested in the Theatre of War covered in the original game.
  12. Well written commentary on Mr. Stalin, thanks for your thoughts.
  13. Isn't evolution a wonderful thing. Glad to hear that you respect your "roots" though
