1. I've learned Maximus!! But unless you're going to buy an NVIDIA card for my I'll be with Voodoo 2 for a while yet! ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 2. I have a Voodoo 2 and building transparency effects work fine but there is no fog. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 3. So BTS has 3 choices for CMBO: 1)Write a Cocoa version of CM:BO. (Time consuming, expensive but the best results for the long run.) 2)Write an updated version to run under Carbon. (I hear it's reletivly easy and quick but will not take advantage of everything OSX has to offer.) 3)Abandon CM:BO for Mac OS X (BAD!) Also hopefully they will be getting CM2 to run in OpenGL. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 4. I've got quite a good photo of Russain troops with AA guns on the roof of a warehouse. If anyone is interested I'll scan it at some point. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 5. Aircraft weapons and influenced by the country they are from. i.e. British will be mosre likely to have 20mm cannon's and rockets (like the Typhoon FB)while Americans have 2 500lb bombs and quad .50 cals (Not unlike the P-47 or P 51). The Luftwaffe will most likely have 20mm cannon's and 2 500lbers (FW-190?). These are not written in stone however. I've seen British with bombs and Yankees with rockets. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 6. During the Dieppe Raids engineer couldn't clear obstacles so the AVRE's were built to provide cover. They weren't to actually carry the troops just to help them get there. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 7. I haven't been around for quite awhile so I figured I'd stop and say hi to everyone. Sooo....hi! I don't really have the internet anymore so I can't check my mail except from school. Thanks for everything everyone and I hope to be back soon. It's been too long! ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 8. My god it's been awhile!!! The Nashorn is pretty much useless. I think the problem is that people know how crappy the armour is so they're not scared of it. The H-39 isn't that bad. It can at least suppress some troops. The one vehicle I've never used is the Marder II. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 9. Wow. That's an amazing page you have there Manx. Those unit profiles are incredibly helpful! Keep up the good work!! ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 10. I know my site isn't the greatest but it's got a lot of scenarios that are quite varied. Wild Bill's scenarios are among the best and I have an ample supply of those. Perhaps you should check the CM webring for scenario sites. There is an ASL2CM site that is definetly a great place to go. Hope that helps. Oh and you can get to the webring from my site's main page. I would post links to other pages but I'm too lazy. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 11. Actually Voodoo 2 cards do support transparencies, even in CM, just not the smoke. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 12.
quote:
Originally posted by Rob/1: why? What is everyones problem! Its like I have done anthing to you. Well if I have sorry. Can we get back to CM now.

You attempted to write the word 'different' twice. You spelled it wrong both times. You spelled it differently both times. At least be consistent with your mistakes. I have nothing against you but it's difficult to understand what you are writing with 50% of your post spelled wrong and with no punctuation. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 17. Is there any way you can get PC mods for CC2 working on a Mac? ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 18. I haven't got around to installing b24 but I'm interested in hearing an answer to this! ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 19. There's one thing you guys will never be!!! The original 14 year old CM gamer!!! That's me!!! I've been around longer then most people on the board. I'm also Canadian and a Mac user. Capt Manieri was also a young Mac gamer. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 20.
quote:
Originally posted by David Aitken: I'm with Jarmo and Lewis. Flamethrower vehicles are not tank hunters. They cannot go toe-to-toe with anything that fires AP (or HE in the Wasp's case). As such a Hunt command is redundant.

You're right! So obviously the hunt command should be removed on the StuH42, Hummel, Wespe, Sherman 105's, Churchill AVRE's and others with 95mm guns and German HT's with 75mm's. Also regular Sherman 75's are meant not for AT work but for anti-personnel work so they shouldn't be able to hunt either. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! 21.
quote:
Originally posted by Lorak: humm... without doing some research it is hard to guess... But let me try. It is a Tank.... and it is located outside. 22. I agree. However simulating this would be rather difficult. It would also discourage casual wargamers from playing. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!
 23. A question for Wolfe: Your second firing position picture is showing a different tank then the first. Why? ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website! A major source of Wild Bill scenarios!

 25. I'd like to try it but there is no way I'm going to pay a monthly/hourly/weekly/yearly fee! I can play CM for one fixed price. WW2OL is going to have to compete with CM, Halflife, Unreal Tournament, Warbirds and at least a few other games. Maybe the flightsim people are used to paying fees for everything but I know the FPS, tank commanders and strategists won't. They can get what they need from other games. WW2 Online simply won't survive with a monthly fee system. ------------------ And if we abandon any platform, I can assure you it will not be the Macintosh. -Steve My website!
