  1. I can't get them. The link won;t bring the page up. Help please. Deadeye3
  2. Does anyone have a copy of those NVIDIA 27.10 drivers? Just about all the links I could find are disconnected and those I did find have corrupt files. Maybe someone can post a copy for me to download somewhere. Would greatly appreciate it! Deadeye3
  3. I patched up to the lastest off of this site. My CD should still work right?
  4. No dice. That did nothing for me at all. Anyone else have any other ideas? Heeeeeeeeeelllllpppp! Deadeye3
  5. Ok I have Windows XP and a GeForce3 Ti 500 card and was having difficulty with the video. I found the compatibility mode program that adjusts and now the menus for CMBO are back to normal. However, not whether I put the CD into my CD-ROM drive or my DVD drive, the game can't find it. What gives?? I miss playing CMBO! I'm having DTs! Can someone help me? Thx Deadeye3
  6. Hey this is an interesting thought. When I am setting up my forces, sometimes I prefer to maybe remove a PIAT from one platoon and add it to another while removing a mortar from one and again adding it to another. This way I can take a platoon and make it PIAT heavy, or mortar heavy or MG heavy, you know how ever I like. The interesting thing, is that units like this are completely unloyal. They'll jump into a wheatfield with any old platoon leader, cleanshaven or not. But what about squads of guys? Has anyone ever played with their posistioning in the ranks? Assigned them to another platoon leader and had them stick to just that guy or is movement like that pretty restricted? Just curious. Deadeye3
  7. No harm redeker, I was just giving you a hard time You can talk about anything you want! Deadeye3
  8. Yeah redeker, you can leave now there's the door *points* Just kidding, but this is exactly why I entitled the post PIATs or Bazookas? We all know how deadly the Germans can be. Deadeye3
  9. I have ICQ and have had it for a loooong time. As far as those above saying it has alot of complicated features, well they are damned right. The problem though is that it is still a simple program. I consider it like a car with tons of features. they are there if I want them, but if I don't then I won't clutter my time with them. As far as it taking up alot of hardrive space, good grief! it can't be any more than a few megs and with GB hard drives now who cares? Use it, it is easy to use. Don't let intimidated opinions get you down (no offense up there!) Deadeye3
  10. Ok I can read and I see the charts regarding firepower, but I have not seen anything regarding cover. Does anyone have any charts regarding the different types of cover such as foxholes, scattered trees, woods, buildings, etc. Maybe even charts concerning cover against different types of weapons like foxholes protection against 75mm halftrack fire or stuff like that. Thx Deadeye3
  11. Who is more accurate? Anyone have any ideas? Deadeye3
  12. Abosolutely! Not meaning to correct you but he is a WWI vet rather than WWII. Man some of those guys are something else! Deadeye
  13. Audie Murphy was the most decorated soldier in US history. he is credited with having killed 240 enemy soldiers, a nearly imposible feat for and infantryman, and that doesn't include the many he captured or wounded. Murphy's citation reads as follows: On january 26, 1945, near Holtzwihr, France, six tanks and waves of infantry attaced 2nd Lt. Murphy's unit. Murphy ordered his men to withdraw while he remained forward to give fire directions to the artillery by telephone. With the enemy tanks abreast of his position, Murphy climbed on a burning tank destroyer (in danger of blowing up at any moment) and used its .50 caliber machine gun against the enemy. Alone and exposed to German fire from three sides  , he courageously fought on, slaying dozens of germans. The enemy tanks, losing infantry support, began to fall back. For an hour the Germans tried every available weapon to eliminate Murphy, but he held his position and wiped out a squad that was trying to creep up on his flank. Germans came as close as 10 yards, only to be mowed down by his fire. Murphy ignored a leg wound and fought until his ammo ran out. He then made his way to his company, refused medical attention, and organized a counterattack which forced the Germans to withdraw. His directing artillery fire wiped out many of the enemy; he killed or wounded about 50.
