  1. hehe it's a sign of your strong moral character that although you can take beating after beating on the field of battle the burden of guilt is too much to handle It might have taken a few days but I figured this post would eventually show. Not quite humble enough however, please have another go And let this be a warning to the rest of you about gambling, don't make bets you can't win p.s. thanks Titan, debt paid. Is it my turn to send file or do you need to regroup?
  2. Ah yeah, good stuff there. This one is not so bad either http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/Forum1/HTML/006970.html
  3. I am glad to see this thread aimed where it is as it looked to be turning into a pity drive when I last checked it. Seconding spooks comment to blackhorse, I think quite a bit of tolerance was displayed in the manuever thread.
  4. OMG I am so going to be kicking all your asses Good new Steve, thanks for the update.
  5. Remember, they weren't on the top of the priorities list and were put in late... I do appreciate their inclusion as is. Nevertheless, it would be nice to them more fully represented.
  6. Actually, I still haven't played all the scenarios from the full version. I've been saving them for blind pbming. I'll go through them and find which ones are still open. I would much rather play one of these than the old beta scenarios. What say you?
  7. One thing about assault boats I would like to see implemented would be to allow their embarkment upon trucks. As boats cannot move themselves how could we embark them... And if embarked how could they disembark... Would having a squad and a boat in a truck be unreasonable... Perhaps there could be a exception to transport capacity for this with transported units exposure increased... Just thinking, any comments welcome.
  8. Ok, the game has finished and listed on the AAR is 1 vehicle destroyed. As the boat was the only vehicle lost, the obvious conclusion is that yes the boat was vandalized and the remains hidden.
  9. Thanks for throwing up the pictures Peter, I'm surprised you don't have any showing each other piss drunk in the gutter.
  10. Holy quacamole batman the secret's out! Have you been to Hamsterthumbs.org?
  11. Try to find a superior opponent and develop a tactical disscussion with him during your game. If your lucky he might explain the finer points of why he did such and such.
  12. Looks like a hell of a fight. Seems to be about half the town on fire
  13. I would like to see crews having the option to ditch their weapons. It's frustrating having to watch your support units die because they're unwilling to leave their guns and RUN.
  14. Innacuracies, hmmmmm, point taken. I'll have to invistigate that before I send it off to print. That's not Greenpeace Johnson, It's Jerry Garcia and his hippy friends. They're bringing nitrous and L for our protest over this whole war thing, we're gonna have like a sit-in at our foxholes. I figure if they dont go for the peace stuuf the music will drive them away for sure
  15. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Mother Theresa: I was smoking crack in a back ally, when Jesus appeared to me. We talked about life and the downward spiral mine was going down. As the angels decended to lift him away his parting words were "Visit Combat Missions" and so I did, and it was MUCH better than crack, and just a one time money investment with a monthy internet charge..I was hooked. Of course the more I think about it, he might have said "Visit Convents and Missions" -Mother Theresa<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Buahahaha, your funny. That was freackin beautiful. 16. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Michael emrys: You ever hear of quicksand? Michael<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Doh! Good one Michael, hadn't thought of that. It will look good in the report too... Dutch Harbor laments the loss of yet another skiff to the treacherous quicksand of the Norman Hedgerows. Frustrated by the lack of even a mere sighting of whales in this dreadful country and his rapidly diminishing supply of fat, this turn of events has left the Innuit boat captain crushed. "The Germans, allways shooting, they scare the whales away" Complained the Captain shaking a makeshift totem of hamster skulls and gerbils feet in their direction.
  17. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by 109 Gustav: Nope, they didn't use it for picking up girls. I mean, what kind of chick is going to want to ride in a beat up alunimum Munson skiff that smells like a very ripe salmon<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> The kind of girl that likes GI rations such as chocolate and cigarettes. I'm telling ya man, a few days liberty and we can seriously score here. Now how about bringout your payroll for a little poker.
  18. I thought I was fairly knowledgable until this... <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Olduvai: I do not love hamsters; I merely recognize that they are deserving of more respect than they are shown by many on this board. When the Japanese defeated the German horde at Dunkirk to end the American Revolution, can you name any rodents other than hamsters that were there? When Rasputin and the other Commmunists were forced onto the Long March to Australia, what furry, fun-loving creature did they select as travelling companions? When the bubonic plague savaged the Arctic after World War II and caused the American "baby-boom" generation, what noble little animal stepped forward to sacrifice themselves in the name of birth control? When Lichtenstein first sent life into orbit around this world, what brave rodent was used (hint: one of them was named Sputnik)? After the end of the Cold War, when the Viking Norsemen poured out of sweltering Madagascar to savage the known world, what small fierce domesticated pet waved on their banners? Answer these questions my friends, and you shall know why the hamster is a rodent to be honored, not ridiculed. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
  19. So what your saying is you want the tac AI to not be changed?
  20. Well it soulnd't have sunk as there was no water around, we we're hoping to use it once we took the rhine for picking up the babes. But unfotunately it seemed to be a magnet for the german troops who didn't have a boat of their own. I guess it was jealousy... I'm thinking for my next battle I'll commandeer all the skiffs from the local villagers and use them as a form of security perimiter announcing incoming visitors by the large volume of fire they tend to direct upon them. Or maybe just few strategically placed rafts near expected armor duels, defensive strongpoints and AT emplcements.
  21. Wasn't sure if I saw a minor glitch or not. Do assault boats leave any remains when destroyed? I noticed my opponent wasn't firing anymore so I sent some men to investigate only to find my boat was gone. I don't think he was able to steal it and am assuming forces under his control commited vandalism upon my ingame property ie one canvas floppy or "assault boat". If anyone has any information relating to this incident or any other boat dissapearances please post.
  22. Cool, I went ahead and loaded it in to see how I like it. I'll email you my impressions after I've used it a bit
  23. How freacking cool is that, the new york times... Which forum member wrote this? Kudo's to you, whoever you are
  24. a simple dos based hex map with an excel type database could function for campaigners the trick would be getting the battles created with the proper units and terrain automatically. Unfortunatley I do not have w00t programming skillz, CM owns me.
  25. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Sergei10: 3. sales respondin emails?!? thats a good one. I emailed to them last friday and haven't got any answer. I ordered CM almost month ago (12. september), but haven't got the game yet. Does anyone know how can I get some info about my order? What is happened to my copy of the game? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> On email responses, I have been around here for a bit and can attest to BTS being an extreemly responsive company. Not only do they participate in our discussions here but every email I've ever sent them has been responded to, sometimes not as soon as I'd like but they're busy guys. I would have to assume the delay in getting your game has to do with the fact that your in Finland... We have several other Finish board members here maybe they'll chime in with how long they're orders took to arrive. A month seems long though....
