I think this sounds like a good idea. Pretty realistic too. Of course I think BTS should look into this not being coded onto Mace's CD when his gets shipped. I think his guys should also be forced into the samuri uniform mod. So all his infantry will have big ten foot, bright flags tied to their backs. They can justify it by calling them "mobile TRP's". I bought an HP laptop for my CMing away from home. P3 850 and a 8 Meg dedicated Savage video card. Obviously it can't do transparencies and I have to use the quick ugly smoke. But other than that it runs CM just fine. Lorak

Horror of horrors ! Seems that my Combat mission CD got scratched. So it wouldn't let me start up Combat mission. (Have I mentioned how much I hate CD checks in the past?) Well...I hate them. Any how. I manged to fix my CD enough to burn a copy. It didn't burn well enough for me to install with it. But it did burn well enough for me to get by the CD check. So you should all recieve turns tonight. The suspense of watching my stuff blow up and wanting to see what of mine is next to go, is almost too much to bear! In Cesspool site news. Mr.Spkr I wish you the best of luck in finding your way into the "CMMC". In my opionion it is the best tought out and run campaign system I have ever been in. Of course as Germanboy has stated, it does sap its share of your free time. For me the thrill lies in knowing my actions count a lot more then my little part. It is the feeling of responsibility you get knowing others count on you to do what you say, or they tell you to do, when it is suppose to get done. There is somthing to be said about ego boost you might recieve at doing something fantastic. The other part is the guit you might feel if you really screw up also. The other thing you can expect is confusion. Not that it is bad. It is just diffrent from making decisions as God. Or making decisions trusting that the information provided by others is correct. The FOW that the "CMMC" models really brings home how little information a WWII comander had in real life to base decisions on. The other great aspect if the role-playing. In one battle I was playing during the "CPX" I knew exactly who the opposing comander was. Pretty well actualy. But the great part was , we never even addressed each other as friends. We played our charactors through several PBEM turns and a couple of TCP/IP sessions. Never once discussing anything that wasn't in line with who we were suppose to be. This dedication from the participants also leads to the immersion of the game. I don't know how many of those involved in the making read this forum. But I do want to offer my thanks again for providing a wonderfull experience. Lorak

Well if this isn't depressing. Berli is losing to Shandorf. This should make Shandorf even harder to put up with in the future. The only hope we have is that Fionn manages to beat the snot out of him. This, if the lord is willing, will allow his ego to balance out. My only question is why Fionn would want to climb into his head. Being the dark, damp, empty space that it is. Maybe Fionn just goes there to think. lol, I am doing fine Priest. Glad to see you back and moving about the forum. I am just sad that you showed up as things were getting heated. I think the biggest problem now is that most topics have been discussed to death and people are a little bored. Bored people usually have to much time on their hands to read into things parts that may not even be there. Hopefully things will calm back down and return to normal. I think thats why a lot of us pengers vary rarely venture into the main forum anymore. Most of us have been here long enough to have heard the official answer on most topics and are tired of re hashing the same old things. As for us playing a game.... perhaps. Priest, I have been following your attack on the Peng thread for several topics now. May I just ask why you hate us so much? As I recall I invited you to the thread after our game together. I told you that there were some really good players there and that they were also fair in thier dealings. No gamey tactics, historical setups, even going so far as creating maps for each other on the spur of the moment. I also remember telling you that there was a lot of hazing. Yes we defile and ridicule each other, but we also know that none of it is personal. As I recalled you showed up, slung some bile and were even accepted. Hell you were even taken as a squire by Meeks, and atarted recieving games. Your record is still posted on our squires page. So obviously we are as open as we say. We accept all in due time, but sort of like a frat there is a bit of hazing that goes on for the new guys. So while I can understand you playing a game and deciding that the taunting was just not your thing and leaving. I don't understand your decided to ridicule and post hatefull things about us and try and make them personal. I would have sent this via e-mail but I do not have access right now. If you would like to reply in private a link to my address is in my sig. I really do not get upset at things on the forum (hell I don't get upset at crap at work). Well I have to admit I am a number sender. But I don't see what the big deal is either way. I go for the simple sequential order where one person sends all even turns and the other will send all odd turns. Renaming files is a no brainer, hell just backspace once and type a digit. As for a crap load of files in my PBEM folder... Yes you do manage to get quite a bit. I have a seperate folder for every person I play. Then when the game is over I just delelte the whole folder. But hey I'll live with whatever the guy/gal I am playing wants. Except!! for those people that try to follow the damn game turns!! I still can't figure out all that lorak-foe-T1,lorak-foe-t1tm,lorak-foe-t1m, crap like that trying to keep up with ever step of every turn and matching the game turn. whatever Lorak
