How do Germans feel about WWII, NOW?
von shrad replied to Cpt B M Deleted's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
In a similar thought. America today could fill many divisions of troops ready to commit genocide on a givin race, IMO. We are no different. [This message has been edited by von shrad (edited 06-21-2000).] -

NCrawler I assure you that I am no Liberal! Yet I do feel shame for what our country did to Native Americans and others just as I feel proud of our countries accomplishments. I am also sorry that this country ever brought slaves to America. -

I think a thing to be noted is that every country that Germany attacked started their own war of aggression against unwilling countries. War is no stranger to any nation. It was the extra things that the Nazi's were doing that sticks in peoples minds when talking about WW2. As far as I'm concerned Germans dont have to feel guilty of the war. They SHOULD have some shame upon them how SOME of that generation acted. A lot of Germans did'nt want to be at war but were subject to their goverments will, just like Americans have been many times over. From what I understand it is difficult to find a television show in Germany that objectively shows their war effort. -
Take it easy Dave. The guys were just kidding, weren't you guys?. Thats it. Take it nice and slow. Nobody meant any harm and we all love the post office. Now, just put down the detonator and back away from the window. We appreciate the hard work you do and we need you. So, please dont pull the pin and softly set the grenade down. Dave I do hope you have a sence of humor

My gripes about the full version!

HOW DARE YOU! That is bull. I am starting to think you dont know what you're talking about. #1 happens for a reason that might not be understood by you but it doesnt give you a reason to say that. As far as 2 and 3 well, it is just going to take some getting use to. Have you tried the alternative? Instead of doing this you might consider doing that. I bet you never thought of that did you? Can you tell I didnt recieve the game yet? Too much time on my hands....hey that would make a great song....Too much time... Ok, I think I've finally lost it. Von Shrad, studying ink blots....... think of a happy place......!@!#$%^&*(*((() -

The only thing I don't like about what he said is 'the graphics are nothing stunning...' Man, I am so happy with the graphics of CM. I think they look great IMHO. Could they be better? I'm sure. But most things in life can be improved. Serviceable? They are way more than that. The graphics captivate me with every game I play and,as we all know, we have just scratched the surface! I still remember the feeling I got when I looked at VoT for the first time. Breathtaking. The only thing I could ask for is more building types to mix things up a bit. Way to go BTS and Kwazydog. You should be proud. Von Shrad P.S. Other than that it is a very favorable mention.

Madmatt, no hard feelings here. It takes more than that to upset me. I just think you were busting his chops for nothing. -

Seemed like a good enough question to me. Next time you might want to e-mail maDDmatt to run it by him first before you post to this forum. -

I was showing a friend of mine this game and told him I had ordered it and he said he wanted to copy it. Man did I love telling him no. -
Does'nt matter. Had the war continued I believe that the bomb would have hammered Germany.

CM just for guys. Oh com'om. Thats like saying playing barbies or baking a cake in my...er...a easy-bake oven is just for girls. I suppose now it wont be o.k. for a guy to play dress-up or paint your nails, or have a tea party. Next thing they'll tell you is its not o.k. to use the ladies room.
