2. or you could just......................................................................................................BUY A MAC!!!!!
 3.
quote:
Originally posted by Berlichtingen: Ouch....You've been peeking in our window Herr Pervelichtingen. How do you say, "Spanking the Monkey" in German?
 4.
quote:
Originally posted by DEF BUNGIS: Just curious on some opinions of how long a regular PBEM game should take. Understanding that there are some who are very picky about every move, I think you should be able to complete a game over the weekend. 2 days give or take. Now, with ladder games it's different of course. But, how long will the game drag on for, and what will the penalties be for not completeing your turn withtin the given time limit. I suppose each player should decide before play, but IMO, a ladder game should not take over 7 days. So, having not yet played a PBEM game, am I on target or way out there...? Also, what is the preferred method? ICQ or E-MAIL?

You start submitting penalties, I quit playing PBEM'S. Some of us have other responsibilities besides playing a game all weekend. I enjoy playing PBEM's as much as anyone, but I can't afford to sit at the computer for hours at a time playing. I have more important things to do. I'm lucky to get in one turn a day as of late.
 5. Bauhaus- one of the most influential bands to ever come out of the post punk movement. Has been a major influence over a good majority of bands that consider themselves "alternative." Also a pretty excellent art movement in the '20's.
 6.
quote:
Originally posted by Moriarty: IMHO a smiley would've helped.

---feel better Moriarty?
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by William Thiel: . . . running away, you yellow bastard! Seems there's a whole bunch of canary coloured folks up there in N. Illinois. I am almost finished eviscerating Bauhaus for the fourth time, and I just handed Berli an industrial sized can of whoop ass so large that he has quit playing until the Gold Demo comes out (oh, sure he'll tell you it's because he's bored). Now Moriarty has had to take a powder to keep from getting what's undoubtedly coming to him AGAIN! Are there no men left at the NW Herald? A Macman perhaps? Or is he waiting until I can unleash the wider array of weponry on him that the Gold will allow? Goannas at work

Of course, I just saw this post, call me slow. But what game you watching Joanna. Who just lost stug 3? There is plenty of game time left, granted, my men aren't too fond of the woods. But, I think it's time for mr. sherman to introduce mr. shell to those lonely germans. I think you're on to something with Berli. After losing to me two, yes, two times in a row, he's saying something about being bored. It was either that or he needed to pluck nose hair. That will keep him busy for years. 8. If William Shatner is the best Canada can do, it's no wonder that beer is the national food.
 9.
quote:
Originally posted by SS_PanzerLeader: LOL im so used to having my name assaulted it just looked like it was meant for me - but the offer still stands if ya want to play SSPL

bring it on, doesn't matter to me which side.I die the same as the Americans or Germans. I think my email is listed, if not...Berli or Goanna has it. Send me the set up and prepare to bleed.
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by Goanna: Bauhaus, I am so confident of throttling you once again that if I don't win our freshly started game against your typical schoolgirl tactics, I will come on the bbs and state that I am a big girls blouse. Do I hear a counter offer?

Ohhh you big bad reptilian goatmunch, If I don't beat you with my skip-to-my-loo tactics I too will come on the board and state that You, the post-operative transexual better known as Joanna, are a big girls blouse. How's that for a counter?
 11.
quote:
Originally posted by SS_PanzerLeader: I would be more than happy to trounce you as well feel free to send me the file once you've figured out the email thingymabob

SS Panzerbleeder, I didn't realize when I sent the first message that there was more than one pantywaste that reads these messages. I was referring to another pantywaste who isn't man enough to play big bad bearder Berli or the little lizard from down under(wear). But if the panties fit......... 12.
quote:
Originally posted by Berlichtingen: To the hidden IS, manual reader from the NW Herald... Show yourself dammit! Keep playing the AI and the likes of Bauhaus and Moriarty (AI is probably tougher).......

Ouch, that left a mark! Seeing that you lost the last two scenarios to me Herr Putz, maybe you should go back to playing the AI. To Herr Pantywaste, come out of your hole and play the psychotic one, or the dirty lizard. You certainly won't learn anything playing the likes of me. Or do you feel more at home playing with yourself on the computer?
 13.
quote:
Originally posted by William Thiel: Well, I am sure if there is anyone left at the Herald who hasn't played PBEM yet it is probably some IT propeller head who is still studying the manual. He (or she) should realise that the only way to learn is to choke on all the smoke SS-Uberrauchenfuhrer Berli throws around and wade throught the Moriarty body-wave assaults. Then (and only then) will they be able to differentiate themselves from the semi-intelligent protoplasm who can only beat up on the big girls blouse that is the AI in the beta demo. carpe diem Heraldites!

I feel so left out. I've killed many a men....most of them mine....but they still died. I think the person you speak of, has trouble playing with their panties all bunched up in their butt. And he's heard of how tough Aussie inmates are on panty wearing manual readers.
 14. Who ever it is probably likes to wear tights with a cape.
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Goanna: . . . sounds like the collective number of brain cells both Peng and Elvis have left after their chemically induced sleep deprivation session this evening on IM So, to update those who are keeping up with the rant wars, I totally humiliated Bauhaus in LD, with his Ami women reinforcements arriving just in time to run off the board with his front line troops. An update on my current grudge match with Berli (SS Uberrauchenführer) will follow perhaps tomorrow.

The problem was, I thought we were playing Aussie rules warfare. My men showed up wearing pleated skirts and toting water pistols. Besides, how many times does one hellcat have to hit a tiger to put it out of action? It's like Berli was driving that darn thing after a night of drinking Dewers.
 16.
quote:
Originally posted by Berlichtingen: Colin, Feel free to join in. The only membership requirement is slap Goanna into ignominious defeat (a task most easy to accomplish I assure you).

If I did it, anybody can. Quite frankly, Goanna played like his wife.
 17.
quote:
Originally posted by Darwin: You ever try Fuji film? I prefer it as it I know what I'm getting. Kodak has it's film made in something like 12 different countries and as such the quality is not consistent (sometimes good, sometimes not). Have fun on your adventure

Try shooting DIT. Even better. Big initial investment, but don't have to worry about processing and film cost. I'm using the Canon D2000 cameras with 340 mb cards. File size for each photo is six megs, though I've blown them up to about 45 meg files with now break up at all. Nikon has a new one too, the D1. About half the cost as the D2000, with the slightly less quality. Some disadvantages to the camera in comparison to the D2000 though.
 18.
quote:
Originally posted by Colin: Berli, Does he play it in software mode? I'm just really curious if the 4MB graphics controller is enough. I'd love to get a Powerbook G3 Pismo. Mmmmm.....8MB Rage 128 in a laptop...

Colin, It looks every bit as good on his iBook as it does on my iMac DVSE. The iBook handles it quite well.

 20.
quote:
Originally posted by Berlichtingen: We got a guy at work that plays on an iBook. It looks better than my G3 Powerbook (older generation)

Though I wouldn't really call what he does playing....
 21.
quote:
Originally posted by Goanna: I'm just getting tired of whipping all you chicks in these three scenarios.

I'm.....ummmm.....speechless. Joanna, we're not the one that went away for that special weeklong surgery to eliminate (and I use this next term loosely) his "manhood." By the way, how are the stitches holding together. You going to be able to resume playing soon so I don't have to keep kicking your wife's butt. I mean, that is who I just defeated wasn't it?
 22. Better graphics doesn't mean better game play. At a certain point they will just have to say enough is enough. They won't make every wargamer happy. In the end people will complain more about the gameplay than the graphics. I've never heard of anyone wanting to return a game because the game was ugly, but the game play rocks. I'll take a tough AI over pretty graphics any day. Of course, there is a balance too. From what I've seen, I think they've come close to reaching it.
 23.
quote:
Originally posted by Knaust: Goanna.......not Joanna!

Based on the surgery he's, errr....now she's undergoing, it is now being changed to Joanna. Ms. Joanna.
 24. Now I think I can see through the smoke... cough....and understand why there has been so much discussion over the smoke graphics. People think the smoke graphics should replicate the smoke from their cigarettes.
