  1. I'll join section 9 if they'll have me.

  3. Smack in the middle again. I should just change my name to "Average Joe" Thanks to all for putting on another great challenge. And thanks to my opponents for some great games. Now, where do I sign up for RoW-V?

  6. Great stuff. Any more Byte battles in the works? [ June 17, 2004, 01:50 PM: Message edited by: Ted ]
  7. Ace, I played the Brits in “Bump” and I was on the loosing end of a draw, 53-47. You’re right about the armor. That was a “lesson learned” in my AAR. I didn’t realize that the Germans didn’t have to exit everyone. In fact I think my opponent exited only a couple of units and I thought that was why it was so close. Two other surprises I had in that game, not all carriers have weapons (I can’t believe I didn’t notice that) and vehicles can’t cross rough in CMAK (what a rude surprise that was).
  8. LoL, Oh I know it couldn’t sustainable. I remember Steve complaining about he’s been so busy with work that his grass hasn’t been mowed and his back door is was still broken after several weeks. I hope he’s finally made time for a beer and a lobster role.
  9. Thanks Moon! More to look forward to. And not that I'm in any hurry. There's still the RoW to finish
  10. There is something to be said about why the silence. When CMBO was first being developed long before the Alpha game came out Steve and Charles came on the forum and asked questions, explained motivations and gave examples of play. There were some great discussions. I kind of miss that camaraderie.
  11. Hollien, I just sent two AAR's in the format you requested. More on the way.
  12. Kingfish Under the finished games, Frontier Firefight there is no maention of me or anyone of Group 2, Section 4. Do you need me to send the results again?
  13. Not that I’m in a hurry or anything….. But will the regular final scores be posted before the Nabla adjustment. Any idea when?
  14. I just finished my 1st of 4 AAR’s of the games I finished. I don’t think there’s any chance of finishing “South of Vevi” with Karnak. I only receive a turn every few days from him. I think we’re on turn 35 of 45. Can I send in an AAR on the incomplete game so I’ll be eligible for the finals? (LoL, like there’s a chance of that anyway) And Should I wait until I have a block of them or send them as I finish each one?
  15. "Wait you guys, who did that grass mod?"
  16. That was what I was hoping for. That was more or less learning how to control an aircraft carrier and it's attached planes. As for this card process, is it like a deck of cards, randomly shuffled and as you use one you replace it from a deck?
  17. I agree with Martyr. Perhaps it was meant that a squad would not receive or return fire resting him up faster.
  18. Nah. Somewhere in the book on CMBB tactics it says that troops that are hidden will rest up faster than troops that aren’t. I did a test. I took a 4 squad German ’41 platoon of veteran and a platoon of regular infantry and had them run for 200 meters on flat open dessert terrain. At the end of the run I had two out of 4 squads (squads 3 & 4) in each platoon Hide. There was no combat. There was no leadership bonus for either platoon. -I tried pasting a table here but it didn't work so well so here are some observations: 1-Vet’s start running approx. 6 sec faster than Reg's 2-All squads are Tiring after 37 sec’s 3-Vets at a run travel approx. 23 meters further than Reg’s, before Tiring (173 mteres to 140 meters) 4-Vet’s avg 90 sec’s to go from Tiring to Ready 5-Reg’s avg 93 sec’s to go from Tiring to Ready 6-Vet’s avg 154 sec’s to go from Ready to Rested 7-Reg’s avg 158 sec’s to go from Ready to Rested Hiding after a run does not make a “Tiring” squad recoup any faster. 19. I’ve experienced the same thing in only one scenario in the dessert. I have a GeForce 4 with 128Meg Ram.
  20. Received, setup and sent off the 1st turn on the Frontier. Great map and great situation. You just can’t make quick battles like these. Thanks and well done to all the RoW team. HD, that’s the email address I have for Karnak and we’ve had several correspondences so far. I don’t seem to have heard from Gator6 @ jboyne@attglobal.net. He’s the British in Frontier so I hope he’s with us.
  21. No that wasn’t me. Karnak and I have contacted each other. I think it was Roger Travis that’s looking for confirmation. I’m innocent I tell ya. (and ready to go)
  22. So the killer Pacestick, we meet again eh? This time things will be different. Ok so MAYBE things will be different……I hope.
  23. Kingfish, If it’s not a problem could you put me in my old RoW mate THumpres’ section. He makes me laugh and it’s important to have a laugh while things are blowing up all around you, don’t you think. (Albeit it was mostly THumpres stuff that was blowing up and making me laugh )
  24. I'll bet he does... No,no, sorry, sorry. A rookie like me should not dare to tease a pooler, let alone the Inquisitor General. [ February 07, 2004, 05:34 PM: Message edited by: Ted ]
  25. I wouldn't mind seeing a count of how many signed up so far. (Not that the guys at B&T have anything else to do )
