Madmatt replied to Wicky's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Whaz'at? Sorry, I am still jet lagged from a long trip umm out of the country.. Madmatt -
Okay Falco, lets try this again. Post another pointless stilted post that adds nothing to this forum and you will witness another abuse of power that I often like to exert. That of banning you. So how about it? Wanna dance? Madmatt

Where is the "User Created Files" section?
Madmatt replied to daskal's topic in T-72: Balkans on Fire!
Try it now, there was a small typo in the url. Had an extra space at the end that some browsers might not have liked. Madmatt -
I think we all know where this is headed... Madmatt

Our name is Battlefront.com, Inc. See that last bit? That's INCORPORATED and yes, believe it or not, we are in business to STAY in business and that means that we like to make a few bucks now and then... Oh and tick off Dorosh whenever possible. Luckily, we are pretty good at making money. staying in business AND making great games all at the same time. We are cool like that. Madmatt

clarifying what copy protection is to be used
Madmatt replied to Blah Blah Blah's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Hehehe, anyoine remember the awesome Space Opera game ELITE? I had that on my C-64 and the copy protection for that was a plastic lens aparatus that you had to put up to the screen so you could decipher a scrambled graphic that was dsiplayed on the TV screen. I still have my old Spectrum Holobyte F-16 Falcon codewheel too... Madmatt -

Hat's off to StalinsO and the dreaded Dropped Connection
Madmatt replied to Ludomeister's topic in Down In Flames
Airborne, I have some ideas with regards to your disconnects. Please email me direct at Matt@battlefront.com and also include all your system specs and network setup info. Madmatt -
Just a heads up that the final "gold" code version of the demo is also now available. If you still have the beta demo, you should uninstall it before installing this new demo. Madmatt

We are pleased to announce that Down in Flames is now shipping from our warehouses in Europe and in the USA. If you had already pre-ordered the game, it should already be on its way to you! In other news, the final (non beta) version of the demo will be released very shortly. Order Down in Flame Here!!! Madmatt

Keep this thread going! We are listening to what you say and I see some excellent suggestions already. Madmatt

In an effort to help spread user created game mods and scenarios to other T-72 players, Battlefront.com is now offering to host such files for you. Just email any T-72 mission or mod file you would like to submit to me directly at matt@battlefront.com and I will add them to a new User Created Files section I will be adding to the current T-72 website. In your email, please use the subject name "T=72 User Mod/Mission Submission" so that I see them right away. Also, please include a summary of the mission, its objectives, time and weather, forces used, player tank type etc.. For mods, please detail what was moded. Thanks! Madmatt

We just posted 15 new screenshots. Those eagle eyed might notice a new weapon system, the new first person (gunner) interface, updated shadows and a new hover based unit being put to good use... http://www.battlefront.com/products/dropteam/screenshots/index.html

UPDATE: As I promised before, I will post updates as I get them. Right now we are looking over the various hardware and system specs that you have all supplied and the dev's are working to try and replicate the freezes. One thing I noticed was that in the original Russian release there was no mention of crashes so we are looking at differences between the two versions to try and see what might have changed which could be triggering the lockups. In order to help facilitate that I need the services of a few willing volunteers that have the time and resources to help me out on a special task. If you have the following assets: * Access to a VERY high speed broadband connection (DSL/Cable or faster) * Your copy of T-72 constantly freezes * You have the time to devote in the next week to help out Then please contact me directly in email (matt@battlefront.com) to volunteer and I will provide more details on what I want to try. I only need a couple of people though so if I don't reply immeditately back to your email, then it means I got enough people. I will append this message as well once I get enough people to help me test this next step out and detail what we find. Thanks! Madmatt

Actually, it's the other way around. We would be interested in THEM licensing us the W40K property so we could do a game for them. Unfortunately, it's not quite that easy or affordable to get the license rights. Dawn of War is an excellent game though if you want a quick Warhammer fix. Madmatt -
