  1. Thanks for the heads up. They definitely need some cleaning up. If he used those links, rather than the links on the Patches page it would explain everything, assuming that he has never tried to activate after having installed using only the download link from the purchase. The links on the purchase page are for patches to Game Engine 3 only.
  2. There is a ticket for this and it is extremely weird. First, a new purchase doesn't require any patches. The download of a new purchase installs everything, including the 2.03 patch. The only thing installing any patches can do is mess up the installation.....causing units to be mislabeled. The extremely weird thing with Amb is that when the proper installation is done the 4.0 portion of the activation isn't getting activated. I have a call into the activation people to see if they can give me any insight. What he is appearing to see is that when he installs the patches it reverts the game to v3.0 but still has the brz files that come with 4.0. This will give mislabeled units because the 3.0 version is not looking for the brz files that were installed when the full version was installed. The bottom line is that no patches should be installed when using the full game installer (that will only cause bad things to happen) and something odd is happening when he activates a properly installed version.
  3. Settle down from the personal attacks, m'kay?
  4. Correct. There is no download for the Pack. It just needs to be activated/unlocked.
  5. You need to use the Activate New Products utility and enter the original CMSF1 Marines and NATO keys. There will be 2 green boxes for each part of the game for it to be activated. As you can see in the screenshot there are 2 green boxes for the Main game and 2 for British Forces module. That is why they are activated. But there is only one green box for marines and NATO. No worries, @Vacillator
  6. @Phantom Captain @danfrodo @purpheart23 and anyone else that needs to hear it.....Enough. This will be the only warning.
  7. We're still shooting for Battle for Normandy to be out on Steam in June. The new Battle Pack will not be released with it. That hasn't changed.
  8. I don't know that there are separate faces for Partisans. They should just have the Soviet faces. Again, @MikeyDwould know for sure.
  9. That's odd. I am seeing them in my game. Is it possible someone added and removed enough mods where none were left?
  10. At all in the game? Or mods? @MikeyD would know for sure.
  11. I scanned through the thread. I'm not clear what the question is.
  12. Recently a forum member expressed something similar. I said something to him about it. A few days later he did it again and got a week's vacation. Please don't repeat what he did.
  13. The file name is weird. Have him check if a file with the name he's using already exists in the Outgoing Email. Also, have him try completely renaming the file thar he's trying to save. Change the name to "Test Save" or somefink.
  14. A recent post I made. Consider it official. Ugh. I had written an long winded reply and then accidently deleted it. Lemma see if I can recreate it. The war in Ukraine has altered some of our plans. There will be a Black Sea module but it will not be released until the time is right. Anytime soon would feel ghoulish and we don't feel comfortable about seeming to try and cash in on the tragedy. How long will it be until we feel differently? It depends. 6 months? A year? 2 years? Hard to tell right now. The definite next release on Steam will be CMBN. We are not going to delay it for Battle Pack 2 to be finished but we are holding it back until the tournament feature is in. I think Slytherine has it penciled in for June but my hope is that it is May or late April. When the tournament feature is finished it will be added to CMSF2, Cold War and Black Sea on both he Steam and Battlefront version. The first tournament will not be Cold War or Black Sea. After that on Steam will be Red Thunder. Probably 3rd quarter. The release change from Fortress Italy to Red Thunder is because the CMRT Pack is close to being finished already. That will put Fortress Italy as the 4th quarter release. It's Pack should be done by then. We hope to for a CMFB with new module in the 1st quarter of next year. Looking back at Steve's post, not much has changed other than the Black Sea module and the tournament feature not being finished yet. That about sums it up. https://community.battlefront.com/topic/140718-2022-the-year-in-preview/?do=findComment&comment=1918575
  15. I don't know if it contains any mods but it is not a Battlefront release.
  16. Sounds like you'll have Urgent Fury pretty soon.
  17. I think this looks awesome and we always love it when people take our games and create something special with them but I want to make clear......This is not an official Battle Pack. If the time comes where a Battle Pack 1 is released by Battlefront for Cold War we hope that there will not be confusion. I'd hate for our customers to think "Battle Pack 1? I already have it. I got it for free last year."
  18. No, I didn't want to repeat what he'd said by quoting it....So I changed his text to "blah, blah blah." If his PM box wasn't full I would have have sent him a PM instead.
  19. As Steve mentioned, the delay in releasing the module for CMBS is unlikely to affect when any Cold War module would be released anyway. What's going on in Ukraine would have to take serious turn for the worse for it to drag out beyond what our timeline would be for Cold War module. As he mentioned, if the war never happened, the earliest we'd possibly see one would be the 4th quarter of this year and that would have had to have been a moonshot. A good way to consider these things is to think about whose time is most taken away for what duties. An example of that would be using Battle Packs as a point of comparison. Battle Packs take little time away from coders, TO&E and artists (2D and 3D) because, by definition, they are created using existing units. A Battle Pack does take a lot of time but that time is, comparatively, significantly less for those 3 groups of producers. Modules however take up a lot of time by all 3 of those groups. The CMFB module will be coming next. Which means completion of the CMFB module, then (hopefully) the 5.0 Upgrade and (probably) the CMBS module would happen before a Cold War module would become the focus of those 3 groups.
  20. I appreciate your comments. Seriously. It is always very flattering to us when someone expresses passion over what we are creating. That said, since you've read the entire thread you are familiar with our desire to keep this thread on topic. @sburkehas directed you to a thread where you can find out what you're looking for and respect our wishes about this thread on topic. We here at Battlefront have found that we can walk and chew gum at the same time. We are capable of participating in this thread (which we consider very important for both historic and game/simulation production reasons) and working on making our games.
  21. I tried to send you a direct message but your mailbox is full. Please try to cool. KK?
