  1. LIES! Heresy! I know, my warty friend. But, as I said, when Steam puts them on sale so do we at Battleftont.com. (Completely unrelated but maybe of interest to you. Next month I'm going to LA for this festival. The list of "my" 80's bands that isn't on this is very small)
  2. WRONG!!!!!!!! How dare you!!!!! ( ) @Havran00 The games that are available on Steam sometimes go on sale. When there is a Steam sale that includes them we mirror the sale price here.
  3. As long as the game that is processing the turn is using the same game version and the player who created the turn is using then it will play on any system.
  4. Maybe it will sent with the next patch. You can download it from our patches page and place it in : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Combat Mission Black Sea\Game Files\Campaigns and have it right now.
  5. It's been reported but not marked as resolved yet. If it is by the time the tournament feature is done it will be in the patches containing the tournament stuff.
  6. Nothing more than originally planned. It isn't finished but work continues. Correct.
  7. I meant to add. That scheduling isn't because of porting to Steam. It's the marketing department at Slitherine. In theory, all currently existing games could be released at the same time on Steam. But we're going to space them out.
  8. Ugh. I had written an long winded reply and then accidently deleted it. Lemma see if I can recreate it. The war in Ukraine has altered some of our plans. There will be a Black Sea module but it will not be released until the time is right. Anytime soon would feel ghoulish and we don't feel comfortable about seeming to try and cash in on the tragedy. How long will it be until we feel differently? It depends. 6 months? A year? 2 years? Hard to tell right now. The definite next release on Steam will be CMBN. We are not going to delay it for Battle Pack 2 to be finished but we are holding it back until the tournament feature is in. I think Slytherine has it penciled in for June but my hope is that it is May or late April. When the tournament feature is finished it will be added to CMSF2, Cold War and Black Sea on both he Steam and Battlefront version. The first tournament will not be Cold War or Black Sea. After that on Steam will be Red Thunder. Probably 3rd quarter. The release change from Fortress Italy to Red Thunder is because the CMRT Pack is close to being finished already. That will put Fortress Italy as the 4th quarter release. It's Pack should be done by then. We hope to for a CMFB with new module in the 1st quarter of next year. Looking back at Steve's post, not much has changed other than the Black Sea module and the tournament feature not being finished yet. That about sums it up.
  9. Were either your comments or his have anything to do with troop movements in Ukraine? The performance of Russia's military? Or anything close to what we've said we want this thread to stick to? No. That means it was off the rails. See ya. For future reference, and advise for anyone else who's fortunate to get a warning rather than a vacation, the proper response to a post like I made is "sorry. My bad" and quitely move on. OR say nothing.
  10. Dude, stop please. Let's not go off the rails. I am also referring to @LongLeftFlankand anyone else continuing this line of conversation.
  11. You're right. As shown by @sburke replying it's a distraction from the thread. Go start somefink in the General Forum but not here, mate.
  12. Check your private messages on the forum and your email inbox.
  13. He's referring to our Steam release schedule for games that already exist.
  14. Todays key takeaways from the Institute for the Study of War line up pretty well with the guys have been saying around here: Key Takeaways Russian forces continue to make steady territorial gains around Mariupol and are increasingly targeting residential areas of the city. Ukrainian forces northwest of Kyiv launched several local counterattacks and inflicted heavy damage on Russian forces. Ukrainian forces repelled Russian operations around Kharkiv and reported killing a regimental commander. Ukrainian intelligence reports that Russia may have expended nearly its entire store of precision cruise missiles in the first twenty days of its invasion. Russian forces deployed unspecified reserve elements of the 1st Guards Tank Army and Baltic Fleet Naval Infantry to northeastern Ukraine on March 17. Russia may be parceling out elements of the reserve force that could conduct an amphibious operation along the Black Sea coast to support ongoing assaults on Mariupol, further reducing the likelihood of a Russian amphibious assault on Odesa. Ukrainian forces shot down 10 Russian aircraft—including five jets, three helicopters, and two UAVs—on March 16, and Ukrainian forces continue to successfully contest Russian air operations. https://community.battlefront.com/topic/140931-how-hot-is-ukraine-gonna-get/page/279/#comment-1913064 You're a little late to the party so you aren't familiar with the way we (Battlefront) have been handling this thread. We've had to keep a very short leash because it's the kind of subject that can go badly off the rails. But because it has been such a great source of information we're committed to keeping the thread alive. Most reports are viewed with skepticism until we get more verification. There are several people who are living in Kyiv giving us updates. This was a great part of The_Capt's post and I think it sums up everyone's viewpoint of this thread: You've been a forum member forever. As far as I recall you've always seemed like a good guy. I believe getting off on the wrong foot in this thread may have started with this inappropriate post:
  15. I don't know much (or anything) about the guy but one of the links John Kettler linked to read like straight up Russian propaganda. So, I'm not sure what to think, Joch. Rudy Giuliani used to be a very well respected mayor. The links John put up are still there if you want to scan through them.
  16. Why? In this thread, why? Please. And you've been one of the best guys cheering on not derailing things.
  17. John, There has been enough information in tis thread alone to show that what this guy is saying is complete nonsense. And it sure sounds that, like Carlson, he's about pushing out Russian propaganda. "super qualified former military officer of vast experience and honorable service to this nation" General John Flynn once fit that criteria but I wouldn't believe him if he said the world was round. You're a smart man, John. You should know better. Let's take a deep breath and cool down for a few days.
  18. I understand your feeling because sometimes I feel the same but did you really revive a thread that has been dead since last October to throw shade on John? That's not cool. Lots of folks put him on Ignore. That might be the move.
  19. Political arguing, conspiracy theory spreading, Russian propaganda and apologists for Putin are what we should strive to avoid.
  20. When I saw what this thread was shaping into I thought of you. Glad that you're back.
  21. Looks like Steve scooped me by about 12 hours.
  22. I don't know if it's already been mentioned but, that intersection was used in the first battle of The Shield of Kiev campaign in CMBS as an ambush location against an armored column. Even down to the grass patches in the fuel stations lot.
  23. John, did you not understand the posts that Steve and I just made?
  24. I will add this to Steve's post, the conspiracy stuff is not welcome. Neither is the reaction to the conspiracy stuff. That is why the conspiracy stuff isn't welcome, because it brings on the reactions, which bring on reactions, which bring on reactions, etc etc etc....
