  2. The Marines had some Mil spec they needed for theirs but this is the base model. MK32 MGL
  3. http://www.flickr.com/photos/huntarr/sets/72157604631123211/ These are all HI-REZ images. 3000+
  4. handihoc you might check this out. I was trying to get those who are unaware of Marine Corps gear up to speed. Enjoy a taste http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=52;t=004212
  5. ALL RIGHT MAGGOTS NOW LISTEN UP! There’s some scuttlebutt floatin ‘round here like the smell out of a Navy chow hall’s head (that’s LA-trine for you Army pukes). There’s talk of Hard Chargin Marines going feet wet. Something about the Army having issues with Iraq’s neighbor. You know who they call when they need someone to knock on the front door while they pull one those fancy “Maneuver Warfare” jobs. So start getting your trash squared away cause we are not about to miss out on this one. OoHRah Get back up to speed on some of the trash the good taxpayers have been so kind enough to let you borrow. http://www.flickr.com/photos/huntarr/collections/ Now remember just because you saw some whizbang gizmo on some silly ass Squidie TV show (yeah Mack that’s you) doesn’t mean your gonna get to break it. You know how tight the Navy is with our money. Carry on… SITREP to follow
  6. Did someone call for Squirrel Support? No one has been able to decrypt that motto? (hint: latin)
  7. Thank you handihoc & Rokossovski maybe Kwazydog could be convinced to sticky it. I could add it to my "I Love Me" wall...
  8. The amount of ammo used is minor. The sequence took 41 secs. barely more than half the turn. At the final waypoint is an ARC which stops the Area fire. As far as threats poping up, that's why there are two other Strykers and dismounts in an overwatch position covering this assault. It's SOP to have a covering force. The moving element is usually not going to spot something before a stationary one.
  9. Use your "Window picture and Fax viewer" to preview it and to link to wallpaper. And the Dallas Stars move on to the 2nd round
  10. Maybe a reminder for the Marine Module? or better yet we all send Steve our new prescription bill? [ April 22, 2008, 11:36 AM: Message edited by: Huntarr ]
  11. Apparently not  If you recall I posted the responsibilities of each crew member earlier. That is straight out of the FM 17-15 which was updated 1996. Clearly lessons were learned about who does what.
  12. Correct for the M1A1. The Marines didn't break their's like the Army with it's whiz bang Independent Thermal hunter killer sight. That's one of the reasons everyone is working to get RWS on top of their M1's. TUSK III (under development)
  13. I was trying to distract them with pretty pictures, Steve. Umph, in getting into the spirit of the upcoming release of the USMC Module, COIN should also be Security and Stabilization Operations (SASO) the preferred term of the Marines.
  14. Scipio I run the tests as you said outside the trench and again the only problem was with Zig-Zag, sorry I couldn't reproduce your issue. I tried various movements on the zig and MOVE came up with some pretty good results. Agonizingly slow. Besides if your in a trench it's a pretty good chance you'll be in contact. So no MOVE there.
  15. http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=52;t=003252 Mord mentions a good work around if it disrupts your immersion
  16. I shouldn't even begin to tell you that I had to dumb down the resolution from 4000+ to 1024.
  17. These guys have problems with Zig-Zag trenchs Some of the problem can be reduced by tedious waypoints but not completely. I feel it is only a minor tweak in the Pathfinding AI. Charles could possibly give a higher priority to trench terrain thus drawing units into it not avoiding it. I feel that the AI is thinking of it as a hinderence to speed, not thinking of it as good cover.
  18. QUICK w/ARC & FACE at the end Two seperate units at two seperate trench locations. Everyone stayed in the trench unless given a waypoint out of the trench. One unit was given QUICK the other unit ASSAULT. Both were given ARCs for the move and FACE at the end. WEGO
  19. Ahh the age ole job of the recruiter (press gang). It doesn't matter how long anyone was "in for" we all remember our recruiter just like we remember our DI's
