  1. I set the 5 man Fire Team to HIDE and 10m circular ARC.
  2. Based on what c3k wrote he can see the building. Again without seeing the situation I can only base it on his words.
  3. If you Area Fire the floor of the building with a BFV's TARGET LIGHT it's TacAI will spread the fire across the face of the building and the penetration of the rounds will kill that RPG since the RPG is not in the center of the building. I'd be happy to look at an image or save if you wish c3k.
  4. Fire Discipline is the main issue with man portable MG's, like Steve and others have stated. The MG42 had an amazing ROF but what's the point if you shoot a guy with 300 rnds and then his ticked off buddies overrun your position because your outta ammo. Long bursts look good in the movies but Fire Discipline is much more important.
  5. I don't think they'll open up avatars for fear of the havoc that I would wreak on the board.
  6. A suspected U.S. pilotless drone has crashed in the northwestern Pakistani region of South Waziristan after a spate of missile attacks by unmanned U.S. aircraft in Pakistan strained ties between the allies. Pakistan has said U.S. missile attacks and one U.S. ground assault are a violation of its sovereignty and the army has vowed to defend Pakistani territory. President Asif Ali Zardari met U.S. President George W. Bush in New York on Tuesday and spoke strongly about protecting Pakistani sovereignty, Bush said. Pakistani news channels said early on Wednesday a U.S.-operated drone had come down near the border village of Angor Adda, where U.S. commandos launched a raid on September 3. The Pakistani military confirmed that a pilotless aircraft had come down but did not identify it as American. Other countries with forces in Afghanistan have not been known to operate drones over Pakistani territory. "A surveillance unmanned aerial vehicle while flying over Pak-Afghan border yesterday night crash landed, on this side of the border ... apparently due to malfunctioning," the army said in a statement. "The wreckage ... has been recovered." American officials earlier denied that the United States had lost any drones: "No such thing occurred," said one. Bush did not speak about the recent U.S. attacks into Pakistan but he said Zardari had made a strong point about Pakistan's sovereignty. "Your words have been very strong about Pakistan's sovereign right and sovereign duty to protect your country, and the United States wants to help," Bush said before their talks. Pakistan's support is regarded as crucial both to the success of Western forces trying to stabilize Afghanistan and in the fight against al Qaeda. But U.S. impatience has grown over what it sees as Pakistan's failure to eliminate the militant threat on its side of the Afghan border. "NO BULLET HOLES" Zardari is close to the United States and has stressed the need to root out terrorism, but many Pakistanis oppose the U.S.-led campaign against militancy. Zardari said this week that cross-border U.S. attacks reinforced the belief that the campaign was a U.S. war and complicated his effort to appease critics. Pakistan's stance was set out clearly by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani at a news conference in Islamabad. "We will not tolerate the violation of our sovereignty and territorial integrity by anyone in the name of combating terrorism," Gilani said. Residents and Pakistani security officials have reported troops firing on U.S. helicopters in recent days, forcing them to turn back to Afghanistan. U.S. officials have dismissed the reports and said no helicopters had taken fire. Militants and ethnic Pashtun tribesmen regularly fire at drones with rifles, residents on the border say, but they have not been known to have brought one down. According to earlier news reports, some tribesmen had claimed to have shot down the drone late on Tuesday but a security force officer said the aircraft had not been hit by ground fire. "The body of the plane is intact and there are no bullet holes," said the officer, who declined to be identified. He said it was a small U.S. drone. "It's American. It's theirs, no one else flies drones there," the security force officer said. An intelligence official said aircraft was about three feet (1 meter) long with a wingspan of about 5 feet. Residents of North Waziristan said people opened fire on a drone flying over the town of Mir Ali, a known militant sanctuary, on Wednesday but missed. The drone flew off.

  8. Mind if I lend a hand if I can? What is the scenario name of "Stock scenario 2"? I might have a gameplay somewhere to give you a leg up. Sorta sounds like Al Amarah. If it is then yes, mikkey Pop-N-Drop tutorial comes right out of that map. One of my all time favorite maps and even makes an "appearance" in the upcoming Marines Module SPOILER ALERT! You have several places to setup on this map. I prefer to setup on the blind side of the causeway. Have your FO (Forward Observer) & MG (Machine Gun) team stay on the top of the causeway dismounted, their Stryker never crossing the causeway until needed. They will be able to spot better. You’ll have your Main force QUICK over the road and down into the grass area. 1st PLT (Platoon) will form line behind the berm hidden in the grass. Dismount them and spread out and deploy your MG teams. They will provide Overwatch for the 3rd PLT who will be continuing the sweep around the Flank to the N (North) and getting ready to step off for the Pop-N-Drop on the N side of town behind the orchard. If your bold you can setup the 3rd PLT there on the N side, but I find it hit or miss. Once the 1st PLT is deployed (you’ll probably be taking fire) suppress the ambush spots with Stryker support and mortars. When 3rd is rallied behind the orchard have them perform Pop-N-Drop, which you can see links to Al Amarah. Once you have your foot hold on the N side of town, slowly peal off (mount up) your 1st PLT and have them swing around thru the orchard and bound over 3rd PLT. I won’t ruin the rest for you unless you get stuck. If you have any question sound off. Hope that helps and good luck. Semper Fi Carry On

  10. Blackswan, Welcome aboard I have a tutorial that is swept & prepped and ready to release but due to the "black" nature of the weapons involved it will have to wait till the Digital Devildogs go "feet wet". It will help you with your "premature e-javelin" problem and put a on your pie hole. Just like Bob Enzyte When you ask? (in anticipation to the next question) Let's just say that there are Snipers "in Country" as we speak. Over at Mail Call

  13. Damn, Ma Deuce is correct. I need to get my slacker arse in "The Pit" for that faux pas in transposition. Damn your eyes Sgt Joch, this is pay back for all the heck I gave you about with the campaign, I know it! I deserve it.
  14. The Hvy MG PLT has both Mk19 and Ma Duece
  15. It is, unless the unit is in the OPEN UP disposition, but yes they do suffer from a C2 break. Units suffer from a C2 break when they tend to move; the train of thought is the ole "walking and chewing gum" dilemma, doing to many things at once. (focus on spotting enemy). The problem with this is that infantry mounted inside vehicles should not be suffering from this auto break, since they are "concentrating" on C2. I tend to keep HQ's in vehicles in the OPEN UP disposition, for several reasons. helps keep them mobile as a reaction force/ FO spotter protects them from small arms and Lt Arty can spread C2 info faster by voice & visual/close visual soft footed officer who can’t hang with my Digital Devildogs This C2 break had been brought to BFC’s attention a while back.

  19. ....dug in Armor Co. That's more like just a couple A-10's, Apache's, or anything that tank plinks. No reason to waste the time to move a Battalion into place.
  20. Mord you know you've always trusted me. Ever since the "accidental release of Death Blossom". I caught hell for that one. Heck DevilPup that was actually more than a year ago. Wow time flies
