  1. Can't answer. I don't think anyone has a chinese o/s. Rune
  2. The only other thing you can do http://www.ngohq.com Download their modified drivers and see if you run better with their drivers. Due to the fact the older drivers work better, it proves there is an issue with the drivers. The problem about fixing something to a broken driver, it that they may fix the driver, and then it breaks the game again. As others have said, bigger companies can throw money at nvidia [or vice versa if nvidia thinks the game will help sell their cards] and get a a fixed driver for their game. Obviously we can't do that. Kieme, let me know if you try the ngo drivers and what they do for you. Rune
  3. Guys, at least the ones that expect miracles, I want you to call ATI right now, their tech support, and see who is working on a weekend. Tell them you have a problem with a game, and you will give them under 48 hours to recode their driver. Listen to their response, [well will have to wait till Monday, they don't work weekends, but you don't care, then think about it when you say it is CMSF. Further details can be found in topic number 737-28497 I am trying to narrow down what it is to see if a work around is possible, over MY weekend. I'll let you know if I find anything. Rune
  4. Redwolf, I know you knwo why that is. The amount of information is much more. Rune
  5. And if you read it again, it is because instead of the turn calculating and showing you a blue bar, it is showing you the turn being played out. Once it is done, you have the vcr controls just like you did before. So, you are saying you prefer waiting at the blue bar as it scrolls across? Rune
  6. OK, I don't think it is going to make a difference, but turn the two opengl options on. Let me know. You guys don't have anything for opengl extensions or anything of the type? Nvidia does and is all I can compare it to. Rune
  7. Javelins shoul not be missing that much. Syrians, depends on the missile, could be wire guided by an in-experienced crew. The level of troops definitely plays a part. Rune
  8. Mystro, What drivers are you using? What settings in the control panel do you have? Rune
  9. I just thought of something. The Nvidia card have their own control panel, with opengl settings. Does ATI have the same thing? What are the opengl options? Worse case, someone available in the US I can call on the phone to try a few things? It is on my dime, so I really don't want to call overseas. Rune
  10. Yeah, I have been running with Vista 64 and Vista 32 with Nvidia for months now. ATI has always been infamous for lack of opengl drivers [good ones anyway]. Will continue to dig in on this. I sent the guys an email this morning, wehn I hear from them, I will update the status. Glad you got a partial, but not real solution. So, to play for now, use the 7.8 and don't use the wasd keys, and only group movr, don't click on a unit. THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION, but at least it may let ya play a scenario for now instead of just looking at it. I will continue to work on this. Thanks to Beast and Mikeyan for helping me troubleshoot this. Rune
  11. Try shift left click and drag. Rune
  12. for me to post one or you? for you, just use the url feature here. For me? I got to get matt to do it. Rune
  13. OK, I need two volunteers for Vista testing. 1. One person to completely remove the vista ati driver, reboot, and use the default MS driver. 2. A guinea pig to test the beta 7.8 drivers. Do I have any takers? Rune
  14. I am with a 7800 card no problem. Try going into the properties of the game and run as administrator. See if it helps. Also, did you get completely thru the licensing? You may have to change the DEP settings. Rune
  15. I will continue to work on this, I have found all sorts of games ahving problems with the 7.7s and opengl. Hopefully I can come up with something if I find someone else has a work around. Will email Charles, if we are REALLY lucky maybe a work around...but if we do and they fix their drivers, it may break the game again. Will be back, doing more research. Rune
  16. If someone is having problems with ati and xp and the game, and can test a different driver, post here and I will give you the link.
  17. Oh and if someone is having the problem with XP and ATI, can you give those drivers a go. Rune
  18. Sorry may have gone to the wrong one, there is a Vista one on the web site. Hang in there a sec. Nope. OK let me find a modified Vista driver. I see on their forums they are saying Vista and ATI still have problems, but hang loose. Thanks for trying tho Beast. Rune
  19. Don't forget the hangars. Rune
  20. Beast, I have been doing the same researching as you. If you have an older card, can you try this driver? http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files&go=cat&dwn_cat_id=9&go=giveme&dwn_id=399 If you don't, don't worry, I asked in the other thread to see if things are better. Again atioglxx.dll is their driver. Anyone have any connections at ATI where I can talk to them? Rune
  21. I don't know I was in charge of scenarios and tested with my three rigs. 2 of which run Vista. Anyway can someone test a driver for me with the ATI card? Make sure it isn't one of the brand spanking new cards. Try this and let me know. Link removed as this is for XP only Rune [ July 29, 2007, 07:49 AM: Message edited by: rune ]
  22. This is an OUTRIGHT LIE. I have a AMD dual core and tested is extensively with Vista, but I have an Nvidia card on both my systems. I NEVER said it was not tested in this configuration. Matter of fact in MULTIPLE threads, I state it WAS tested under Vista. Rune
  23. James {Jaguar} is correct. Let me know if this fixes your problem Kieme. Rune
  24. And make sure he makes the IED active. Rune
