  1. And that has NOTHING to do with anything. Unless the game is opengl, which those are directx, you are comparing apples and oranges. Cat, you would be willing to help out a little. If you have a different nvidia card, toss it in the computer and remove the 8800 and see if you are getting the same thing? I have the exact same motherboard and slightly faster cpu, same memory and I do not see the issue with my 7800 card. Rune
  2. I run a 7800 in Vista 64 and have none of the problems you are reporting. What version drivers do you have on your home system and what o/q, and answer in the tech support forum. Rune
  3. Someone else had near the same and reduced the problem by playing with the repeat rate on the keyboard. Try slowing it down and see what happens. Rune
  4. If someone can try an older driver and let me know I would appreciate it. The 8800 cards are [no surprise] the culprits so far. Rune
  5. No, I think it depends on the size of the force. Too big a force for the setup zone it bleeds into yours. Will take a look later. Rune

  8. Cat, I just loaded on my system and blow away those frame rates. WHat driver are you using and did you apply the Microsoft hotifx? Rune
  9. Steiner, 1. Try the MS hotfix posted all over for multiple cpu problems. 2. If still an issue, have you applied either of these from AMD? http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_9706,00.html http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/utilities/amdcpusetup.exe Rune
  10. Hotti, XP SP2 with a dual core, did you try the Microsoft fix for their known bug? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=C2AB5A48-8240-4934-BBD8-34FB8A0FCE3B&displaylang=en Rune
  11. you have to have the person go to your external ip. Go to whatismyip.com and zend that to the person trying to play you. It works fine thru my Belkin firewall. Rune
  12. For the record, that is a MICROSOFT setting. Reddog, enjoy the game...sorry I didn't think of it sooner. Rune
  13. mscano, yes, you can group select. Look in the manual, but if you left click ont he ground and hold it while moving, you will select that group of units. Rune
  14. This tells me it is a driver issue. Fault Module Name: atioglxx.dll That is the ATI opengl part of the driver. Try a reload of the driver. Rune
  15. reddog, Try this: 1. Right-click on "My Computer" 2. Select "Properties" 3. Click on the "Advanced" Tab. 4. Click on the Performance "Settings" Button 5. Click on the "Data Execution Prevention" Tab 6. Verify that "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" is selected. If it is not, select that option and click "APPLY" and then try and run the game. Note: Even if you see that option checked already, go ahead and uncheck and then recheck it to ensure that its activated! Rune

  17. First off, did you look at the manual, there are many helpful hints in there that have helped a lot of people. If your having a problem licensing the game or you find that after the game installs it won't launch, please review the eLicense FAQ Guide located here: http://www.battlefront.com/elicense_faq.html Here is the most common issue and fix: http://www.battlefront.com/elicense_faq.html#nothingappears This is a current list of problems and suggested solutions: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=70&t=000035 If you are still experiencing a problem with CMSF, we need the following at a minimum at least: 1. What version of CMSF are you running {Paradox or Battlefront] and what build number [1.0 or 1.01, etc] 2. What type of processor and speed 3. What type of video card and the driver version. 4. How much memory do you have in your computer? %. What Operating System are you running (XP, Media Center Edition, Vista, VIsta 64 etc...) 6. What EXACTLY is the problem. 21. The flicking problem COULD be the known Microsoft error.
