  1. It avoids the issue altogether by having one command per key, such as (extract from the file) Command Keys Direct // These will issue the designated command no matter what command panel is currently displayed <E>F // move fast <E>Q // move quick <E>M // move normal <E>S // move slow <E>H // move hunt <E>A // move assault <E>R // move reverse <E>B // blast <E>N // mark mines <E>T // target <E>Y // target light <E>V // target arc <E> // NOT CURRENTLY USED... Do not assign a key to this function! It will eventually be the hotkey for Clear Target, but not yet properly activated <E>O // face <E>D // deploy <E>P // pause <E>U // hide <E>L // dismount <E>B // bail out <E>- // vehicle open up <E>I // pop smoke <E>G // acquire
  2. You know you can assign your own keys? Just edit the hotkeys file in the data folder. I use this one, if you have a look it will tell you what each key does - a for advance, t for target etc. Feel free to use it, but back up your existing one - just in case. BTW, I don't use the camera keys etc so I've assigned them to and all the ones I don't use to "#"
  3. I'd like all bases to be shown at once to help me keep track of all troops, but you'd need a way to know which unit was selected. Every colour but blue is taken. Larger to see from further. I play about level 4 and above mainly, so all I really see are loud dots.
  4. Any chance of making the circles larger? Does that work? Is there a transparent circle for de-selected units? I'd love to make those blue or sumfink.
  5. Good for her. Why don't you tell her "Don't get one, they can only say a single thing about you, and you're much more complex and beautiful than that.". Thank me later.
  6. An update, I made the liver with the onions as I didn't have any flour. I might have cooked it a might too long but I didn't want to take a chance with the first time I cooked it. Made with a nice tomato and coriander salad, tasty tasty. Just fresh tomato on toast with some salt and olive oil is surprisingly good.
  7. Gak. They need some elite website makers.
  8. Ctrl-click on a point on the map if there's no unit. Then pan and rotate the camera by moving it to the top, bottom, bottom left, bottom right. Rotate with top left, top right. Chang height with middle mouse button. I tend to tab to units to find my way around; see a unit, press tab and you're locked to it. Roll the middle mouse button to change height while keeping it in camera shot. Rotate around it as normal - top right/top left. Nice when you get used to it.
  9. Not noticed that, it seems pretty even. I think different colours may have different strategies though.
  10. What I like is it doesn't seem to cheat. It won't drop on you straight away, you've got to be in a position for a while with something worth dropping on.
  11. I *think* you get re-enforcement die on the number of borders a territory has. ...yes, I'm still playing it.
  12. I don't think I'll be breaking my NDA to say it's frickin deadly. It stopped me from having concentrated MG support from rooftops - exactly like a good human player.
  13. Kizhi Island? Not sure of its location but it's got 2 famous churches. http://goeasteurope.about.com/od/russia/p/kizhiisland.htm
  14. Good theory gunnergoz. I worked on a tall ship in Eilat for some time, when we were doing a night cruise an Israeli patrol boat went by us so fast we - a 99 foot boat - were thrown about. What got me though was that it was so quiet. If it hadn't silhouetted against the horizon I don't think I'd have known where it was.
  15. Great sound to those old bikes. A couple of my mates used to have 650 Bonnies and the flat blatting from the exhaust makes the hairs on your neck stand up.
  16. Did he pay for his bandwidth? Yes. Was is stated in his contract how much he could use? Of course. So the issue isn't abusing the internet it's not paying people for watching things that they made - which is fair enough but policing it like this and undermining everyone's privacy isn't the way to go. ISP's have over sold their capacity in an attempt to undercut each other and when people actually use the bandwidth they've bought and paid for ISP's get twitchy and "manage" their bandwidth. How about this - if you haven't got it, don't sell it. The issue of piracy is of course a bad one - and I'm all in favour of it being addressed - but all the current ways to clamp down on it; DRM, going through the courts and this stupid idea just don't work. For example The Pirate Bay, which is the largest torrent site in the world, is going to start sending data of SSL so it will be encrypted between the servers so the ISP won't know what it is. So who misses out because of these measures? Well, everyone. Our privacy gets further undermined and our rights circumvented by people who want our lives to be under tighter and tighter control. Authority is reacting to a new threat in an old way - tighter restrictions and new laws.
  17. The number of linked territories is the number of replacement die you get. There's a readout next to the dice at the bottom. I've come back from 1 territory to win but I got really lucky being in a corner with only one entrance. As to where you get the replacements put - I've yet to figure it out.
  18. Click the little down pointing arrow next to the Google icon in the search field, a drop down will open. Click "manage search engines" at the bottom. Remove Google from the panel. Then click "get more search engines" then re-install Google. Should fix it.
